My Review:

I've read the first two books in the series, so I was impatiently waiting to get my hands on this one. While reading the previous stories, I got to learn little bits about Colin so I couldn't wait to read his story and what is hidden in his past. Well, I can honestly say that I was surprised and quite intrigued. The book is full of suspense, romance, laughter, painful secrets and revelations, and of course some crazy hot time between the sheets :D

Colin is definitely a man you are going to drool after :D He is kind of a reformed bad boy who still has all those traits we all crave but at the same time is responsible and loyal. He has the body of a god, covered with some sinful tattoos. And let's not forget that he can burn the sheets with how hot he is between them ;) Elle is also an incredible character. Her past is heartbreaking and her determination to protect the people she loves, is simply admirable. Together with Colin, they are the perfect couple but their pasts kind of keep them apart. Until a tornado or secrets and suspense throws them together for the long haul.

So if you want me to summarise Colin and Elle's story with only few words, I would say that it is intriguing, suspenseful, extremely hot and definitely worth reading :) The only thing I would recommend is actually reading the other books in the series before this one. That way you will enjoy the story better and will be actually able to follow the mystery unfolding through the books :) And now I am impatiently waiting for the next book in the series :)

My Review:

I've read books by Lauren Blakely before and I love her stories, so of course I was all for reading this first book in a new series. And I have to say that I loved it :) The characters are intriguing and their story is simply heartbreaking. The writing is pretty good as in the other books by this author, which is of course to be expected. The book in itself is filled with intriguing scenes and tender moments that will definitely keep you turning the pages :)

Brent and Shay are amazing characters. I have to say that I was quite frustrated with both of them in the beginning as they were just acting too stubborn and like kids. That's why they got separated ten years ago. But in a hindsight, I think that just wasn't the right time for them. I think they both had to go into the world and find themselves, decide who they want to be and what is most important for them. And they did exactly that. And this second time around is the perfect time for both of them. 

There are definitely some twists in the plot and I can honestly say that I didn't expect the ending. And I am sure that thee next books in the series will bring quite some danger and action into the story. The plot will definitely thicken. And can't wait to find out what will happen with Shay's brothers :) I am sure their stories will be as intriguing as Brent and Shay's :)

In a few words, the story is intriguing and it is full with tender and loving moments, masterfully combined with heartbreaking, frustrating and even dangerous at times ones. With every single page, I got more and more invested in the characters story and lived with them every emotion they felt. I loved getting to know Shay's family and I am simply dying to read their stories in the next books in the series. So, if you haven't gotten my notion yet, I definitely recommend the book. It is definitely a must read :) And if you haven't read anything by Lauren Blakely yet, this is the perfect place to start :)
