My Review:
There are quite a few authors in this series that I love so it wasn't a hard decision to decide to read the series. I first started reading the prequel about Ginny and Jacob and I loved both characters. It was quite interesting and it definitely helped me with understanding everything that happens Tempest Rising. But let me tell you, I definitely didn't expect the way the things went with Tempest Rising. I was hit with one unexpected twist after another. And some of them were quite heartbreaking and I had tears in my eyes more often than not.
Ginny is quite an interesting character and I was intrigued by reading her story. She is young and as any young person makes stupid mistakes. The problem in her case is that those mistakes are life altering and heartbreaking. It was quite interesting to meet the rest of the characters that will have leading roles in the following episodes. From what I got, each one of them has secrets that will be quite interesting to uncover. I am so anxious to get my hands on the next book :)
If I have to summarize, I would say that this is a pretty intriguing short read and definitely a great beginning to the series :) I would recommend you read the prequel first (it is free, so no worries ;) ). It is not necessary to understand the book but it will definitely give you better understanding :) And I am sure you will be intrigued with the characters and their stories :) The good thing is that the next book comes in a week :)
