As a kid, Logan Preston was a brat.
Through his teens, he became the bad boy.
Now, at nineteen, no one knows what the hell to expect.

High school dropout, Logan Preston is a
good-for-nothing stoner.
A black sheep.
A disappointment.
The worst Preston Punk of the lot.
At least that’s how everyone in his small town
makes him feel.
But Logan Preston has secrets.
Secrets so dark and so deep below the surface that the only way he can fight them is to stay high, high, high.
He wears cockiness as a mask.
Arrogance as his armor.
Until one girl, one night, asks one life-changing question:
What's beneath the bravado, Logan Preston?

Azahara´s Best 2016 Reads

Lucas (Preston Brothers #1) by Jay McLean
Every single year a book by Jay McLean sneaks on my Top 10 because her books keep getting better and better! Lucas was a rollercoaster of emotions with raw scenes, true grief and forever love *sigh*.
Lucas - A Preston Brothers Novel (Book 1): A More Than Series Spin-off

The Beast (Black Dagger Brotherhood #14) by J.R.Ward
Since I first read Lover Eternal Rhage has been one of my favourite characters, it is impossible to have only one in a series where there are dozens of books with different characters xD. This is one of those series where you want more and more and never get tired of it.

Thief of Hearts (Hearts#5) by L.H.Cosway
A tale about finding love in the most unexpected way. L.H.Cosway is a master of creating a different kind of romance with unforgettable characters. Captivating writing style that never loses its incredible uniqueness.

Beard Science (Winston Brothers #3) by Penny Reid
Weirdness and awesomeness all around with the Winston Brothers. Cletus´story was amazing and wickedly sexy in an odd way.  Every book keeps getting better and even more addictive than the last.

Built (Saint of Denver #1) by Jay Crownover
I am a huge fan of Jay Crownover since she first released Rule back in my early blogging days and I have loved and will love her work for eternity. So of course, Built was a no brainer on this list.
Built (Saints of Denver, Book 1)

Fighting to be Free by Kirsty Moseley
Massive fan of Kirsty Moseley since her Wattpad days, I even went to my first book signing alone because she was one of the attending authors. I have been following her work from the very beginning and I am so proud of her success. You rock Kirsty!

The Wall of Winnipeg and Me by Mariana Zapata
This book is so different from the typical romance and I simply adore it! It is so well constructed and developed that it is impossible not to love it from beginning to end. It was a long read and I even wanted more!

Kings Rising (Captive Prince #3) by C.S.Pacat
M/M is one of my favorite genres so of course this book had to be on my top picks. I have been obsessed with this story since I read the first chapter in the series and I waited such a long time for the perfect ending, it was powerful and beautiful.

Your Inescapable Love (The Bennett Family #4) by Layla Hagen
Stories that feel so real and believable that you won´t be able to discern your world from the one Layla Hagen creates with her gift for words. Each story and character gets even better with time, can´t wait to read more books by her in 2017!

#REV (GearShark #2) by Cambria Hebert
I want to have at least one quarter of the love Trent and Drew have for each other at least once in my life. I felt so much and so deeply while I was reading this book that is going to be forever engraved in my mind, incredibly beautiful.

Blog Tour: Kick Push by Jay McLean

Title: Kick Push (The Road #2)
Author: Jay McLean
Release Day: August 4th 2015
Synopsis: There’s a single defining moment within every skater. It lasts only a second. Two if you're good. Three if you’re really good. It’s the moment you’re in the air, your board somewhere beneath you, and nothing but wind surrounds you. It’s the feeling of being airborne. The sixteen-year-old version of me would’ve said it was the greatest feeling in the world. Then at seventeen, I had my son. And every single second became a defining moment. Even the ones that consisted of heartbreak when his mother left us. Seventeen. Single. Dad. That’s what my life became. Yet, every day, I managed to find that feeling of being airborne. Or at least I convinced myself I did. But I lied—to myself and to everyone around me. Until she showed up; Tanned skin, raven dark hair, and eyes the color of emeralds. You know what sucks about being in the air? Coming down from the high. Sometimes you land on the board and nail the trick. Then kick, push, and coast away. Other times you fall. You fall hard. And those are the times when it’s not as easy to get back up, dust off your pads and try again. Especially when the girl with the emerald eyes becomes your drug... And you become her poison.

My Review
Oh the feelings this book has made me feel!! Absolutely incredible!
I have to say that I was a bit wary to start reading this book because sadly I didn't enjoy The Road, which is the 1st book in this series, as much as I did with her previous series. But I didn't have to worry about nothing because undoubtedly this is, from my humble point of view, McLean's best work till date.

Since I first read about Josh and Tommy I wanted to discover their story and for them to get a HEA. Their book had me feeling heartache from the very beginning till the very end. I shed more tears reading Kick Push than when I watched Titanic for the first time, which was way too much if I'm honest. With Josh and Becca's story my heart was tore apart, destroyed little by little with the deep words and emotions that flow through the book.

This 5 star rating system do not do justice to this inspiring book because it deserves undoubtedly a 6 star. It has became one of my favourite books and it is going to be hard to get rid of my book-hangover. Kick Push is seriously a master piece, so if you still haven't read anything by Jay McLean, go for it!

Genre: New Adult Romantic Humor
Release Date: March 3rd
Add ToGoodreads
Cover Design: Cover It Designs

Synopsis

"So…I came up with a plan.
I sat the brothers down and gave them my speech; we’d become male escorts.

The house was split.
The single dudes thought it was great. The guys with the steady girlfriends told the single dudes they were insane.
I promised them all we could make it work without hurting anybody. But we had to be smart about it. We had to keep it off campus. We had to keep it a secret. And in order to do so, we had to target those who wanted it kept a secret as much as we did.
Our target: Filthy rich, unsatisfied, horny housewives.
Keep it high class, so to speak.
And thus began BTC, or Boy Toy Corporation.
Crazy, right?
Crazy genius.”
