REVIEW:Jet

Jet (Marked Men, #2)Título: Jet (Marked Men #2)
Autor: Jay Crownover
Editorial: Harper Collins

Title: Jet (Marked Men #2)
Author: Jay Crownover
Editorial: Harper Collins
Synopsis: With his tight leather pants and a sharp edge that makes him dangerous, Jet Keller is every girl’s rock and roll fantasy. But Ayden Cross is done walking on the wild side with bad boys. She doesn’t want to give in to the heat she sees in Jet’s dark, haunted eyes. She’s afraid of getting burned from the sparks of their spontaneous combustion, even as his touch sets her on fire.

Jet can’t resist the Southern Belle with mile-long legs in cowboy boots who defies his every expectation. Yet the closer he feels to Ayden, the less he seems to know her. While he’s tempted to get under her skin and undo her in every way, he knows firsthand what happens to two people with very different ideas about relationships.

Will the blaze burn into an enduring love. . . or will it consume their dreams and turn them to ashes? (From Goodreads)

MI FAVOURITE CHARACTER: Cora is definitely my favorite character, his explosive personality fits perfectly with the group of bad guys, plus it is a very good friend to Ayden and Shaw. Despite being a minor character in this book, I cannot wait to read his story in the third book of the series, Rome.

Opinion: I´ve been dying to read this book for months, and when I saw it was available for Kindle I did not hesitate to buy it. This is the second book in the series Marked Men, I reviewed Rule a few months ago which is about a bad boy. Jet is more a kind of book for music fans.

The book is narrated from the point of view of Jet and Ayden, two characters who have already appeared in the first book as secondary characters. The chemistry between them is explosive and the author has managed to capture it perfectly into the narrative. The book is addictive from the very beginning, Crownover writes in a fresh, modern, electrifying and sexy style. This time, the author has added a playlist of the songs that both characters listen so when you are reading the story you just go to youtube, an you are transported into the story. The songs are basically heavy metal and country, I opted more for the country because I don´t like metal, but the songs are definitely an addition that creates depth in the story.

The characters are well developed and their evolution is not only seen throughout the book, but throughout the whole series. Luckily, we have the opportunity to see how the relationship of Shaw and Rule continues in addition to the story of Jet and Ayden. In this book some of the main characters get more prominence as Rowdy, Jet´s best friend, who is a mystery.

I've given a 4.6 because at first the story progresses fine, but coming towards the end I thought the author was a little stuck in the development of the story and then suddenly it was all fit very fast. Nevertheless, I enjoyed the end and as I'm sure that both couples Rule- Shaw and Jet- Ayden have much more to say in the third book of the series.

I can say without a doubt that thanks to this series, Jay Crownover has become one of my new favorite authors, the penalty is that these books are only available in English and in ebook version. If she ever come to publish them on paper, I´ll buy them undoubtedly.

After enjoying this wonderful book, I can only recommend it and till Rome is out, scheduled for 2014.

"That´s funny, Ayden, because when I´m with you, I feel better. I behave better, I sound better, and some of the nasty shit that eats me up inside doesn´t seem so bad. No one has ever done that for me before, so if you  aren´t what´s best for me, I can´t imagine what would be"- Jet (Jay Crownover)
