Synopsis

Greed. Ambition. Violence. Those are the "values" Olivia Rashidi learned from her Russian mob family-and the values she must leave behind for the sake of her daughter. When she meets Cillian O'Malley, she recognizes the red flag of his family name... yet she still can't stop herself from seeing the smoldering, tortured man. To save her family, Olivia sets out to discover Cillian's own secrets, but the real revelation is how fast and how hard she's falling for him.

Plagued by a violent past, Cillian is more vulnerable than anyone realizes. Anyone except Olivia, whose beauty, compassion, and pride have him at "hello," even if she's more inclined to say good-bye to an O'Malley. While his proposal of sex with no strings seems simple, what he feels for her isn't, especially after he learns that she belongs to a rival crime family. Cillian knows that there is no escape from the life, but Olivia may be worth trying and dying for...

Review:
I love Katee Robert and the O'Malley series is definitely one of my favorites :) So of course it is not a surprise that I jumped at the opportunity to review the latest instalment in the series.

Cillian has always been kind of an enigma for me. From being the party boy of the family during the first book (mostly the beginning) he changes to being the brooding and closed off brother that keeps everything inside and carries a lot of pain and blame in his heart. But even that is not something that everyone sees. He hides it well, and for quite a while after the tragedy that changed his life, his family still thinks of him as the irresponsible and care for nothing man that loves to party and flirt (and more) with women. The only person who really sees the shadows under his eyes and the demons that chase him, is the one person that doesn't want to have anything to do with him. Olivia Rashidi, the new employee of the bar Cillian frequents.

Olivia has her own demons chasing her and her own skeletons in her closet. And the last thing she wants in her life is another man connected, whose family is connected to the crime life.

But, as we all know, plans never work out as we want them to be. The connection between Cillian and Olivia is undeniable and sparks fly every single time they are close to each other. With Olivia, Cillian can be himself and show her the real him. The vulnerable soul, that carries the weight of the world and the guilt for his brother's death. It is not easy but these two scarred souls find peace and understanding in each other. And added to their scorching chemistry, it grows into something more. Something worth fighting for.

But as you would expect from a Katee Robert book, danger is not far behind. And it can cost Cillian and Olivia everything they have.

During the whole story, the action is fast paced and intriguing. You never know what will happen next. It really caught me form the first page and it didn't let me go until the end. I enjoyed every single second of it. The characters are complex and very well developed. I was rooting for them from the very start ;)

So, If I have to summarise, I loved this book. It was fast paced, suspenseful, full with danger, heartbreak, healing and romance. Pretty much it had everything that makes a story great. It is definitely a must read. so don't waste even a second and #oneclick this incredible story :)
