In My Mailbox (01)

In My Mailbox(IMM) es original de Pop Culture Junkie y The Story Siren, consiste en subir una foto con los libros que has comprado, te han regalado, intercambiado o como sea que te lleguen los libros xD para que la gente vea lo que te propones leer este mes. Llevaba tiempo dándole vueltas ha hacer una entrada sobre esto, pero no me parecía productivo ya que los libros suelen durarme 1 día o 2 hasta que los leo, y en otros casos los leo mayormente en el ordenador. Pero como hoy mi hermana ha vuelto a casa con 2 libros desde Florida,  he decidido darle una oportunidad.

No voy a tener en cuenta todos los libros que tengo en Kindle, porque por primera vez tengo más libros de los que me da tiempo a leer.
Voy a empezar de arriba a abajo:

1. Delirium Stories- Lauren Oliver
Tengo este libro desde hace 1 mes, pero todavía no he empezado a leerlo, principalmente porque no quiero que se acabe esta serie, asi que he estado alargándolo todo lo que he podido...
2.Lost Voices- Sarah Porter
3. Shattered Souls- Mary Lindsay
Estos dos libros los compré por Amazon porque llevaban bastante tiempo en mi lista de libros para leer en Goodreads.
4. Lover at Last- J.R.Ward
Este libro acaba de llegar con mi hermana desde Florida porque no puede esperar lo suficiente para que salga en español.Amó esta serie y desde el momento en que me acabé el décimo libro hace casi un año, necesitaba tener este libro. Estoy convencida de que me va a encantar ya que J.R.Ward nunca defrauda. 
5.Clockwork Princess- Cassandra Clare
Este también acaba de llegar directamente de Florida. Llevo esperando este libro mucho tiempo y desde el momento en que se publicó queria tenerlo en mis manos.

In My Mailbox (IMM) consists in  uploading a photo with the books you've bought, traded or whatever  books you have but still haven´t read xD for people to see what you intend to read this month. I had long been thinking about making a post about this, but it did not seem productive since books tend to last me one day or two until I read them, or because I read mostly on the computer. But  today my sister has returned home with two books from Florida, so I decided to give it a try.


I will not consider all the books I have on Kindle because for the first time, I have more books than time to read them.
I'll start from top to bottom:

1. Delirium-Lauren Oliver Stories
I have this book for the last  month, but I have not started reading it, mainly because I do not want this series to end, so I've been stretching it all that I could ...
2.Lost Voices-Sarah Porter
3. Shattered Souls-Mary Lindsay
I bought these two books in Amazon  because they had been some time on my list  to read on Goodreads.
4. Lover at Last-J.R.Ward
This book has just arrived with my sister from Florida because I cannot wait long enough for it to come out in spanish.I loved this series, and  from the moment I finished the tenth book almost a year ago I needed to have this book. I'm convinced that I'll love it as J.R.Ward never disappoints.
5.Clockwork Princess- Cassandra Clare
This book also  came straight from Florida. I've been waiting a long time to read it and from the moment it was published I wanted to have it in my hands.

MI PERSONAJE FAVORITO: Drew, el mejor amigo de Josh, es mi personaje favorito. A pesar de su actitud despreocupada de ligón al que no le importa nadie más que él, es un amigo leal, que se preocupa por aquellos que le importan. Y evoluciona a lo largo del libro.

Opinión: Tuve la oportunidad de leer The Sea of Tranquility gracias a NetGalley, así que cogí el libro sin saber nada él, y debo decir que desde el primer párrafo me gustó.

Cuando acabe de leer este libro, necesité varios minutos para volver a la realidad. La historia de Nastya y Josh es tan increíble que me dejó abrazada al libro suspirando y con lagrimas en los ojos por haberse terminado, por todo el desarrollo de la historia y en general porque la autora ha sido capaz de crear una historia preciosa y plasmarla en un libro para que nosotros podamos disfrutarla como si estuviéramos dentro del libro.

La narrativa es muy fluida, el libro está narrado desde el punto de vista de Josh y Nastya. Me gustó especialmente porque hay mucho más en el libro que de lo que se ve en la sinopsis. Es uno de estos libros en los que lo que importa no es el final, si no como llegan los personajes hasta él, la historia dentro de la historia.

The Sea of Tranquility está lleno de diálogos divertidos, conmovedores, frases que te hacen reflexionar y pequeños detalles que hacen que la propia historia vaya adquiriendo un sentido más haya de lo que se lee a primera vista.

MY FAVOURITE CHARACTER: Drew, Josh's best friend, is my favorite character. Despite his carefree flirting attitude, who does not care about anyone but him, he is a loyal friend. And he develops through the book.

 Opinion: I had the opportunity to read The Sea of Tranquility through NetGalley, so I picked up the book without knowing anything about it, and I must say that from the first paragraph I liked it.

When I finished reading this book, I needed several minutes to return to reality. The story of Nastya and Josh is so incredible that left me hugging the book sighing and with tears in my eyes for having finished the book, for the development of the story and because the author has been able to create a beautiful story and turn it into a book so we can enjoy it like we were in the book.

The narrative is very fluid, the book is told from the point of view of Josh and Nastya. I especially liked that there is more in the book than what is seen at first sight in the synopsis. It is one of those books that what matters is not the end, but how the characters come to it, the story within the story.

The Sea of Tranquility is filled with funny and poignant dialogues, phrases that make you think, and little details that make the story itself wonderful. There is more than what is read at first sight.

Y teniendo en cuenta mi experiencia previa con esta autora, que conforme escribe sus series las va mejorando hasta niveles en los que simplemente supera la perfección, estoy deseando tener este libro en mis manos para disfrutar de un género completamente nuevo de mi autora favorita.

Para aquellos que no conozcáis a Richelle Mead, os animo a que empecéis a leer cualquiera de sus series.

I can´t wait to have this book in my hands to enjoy a whole new genre of my favourite author.

Bad Boys Monday- Ronnie Miller

  Este lunes vamos a cambiar un poco la dinámica del Bad Boys Monday, ya que no hemos incluido a ninguna chica todavía. Así que hoy tenemos a la protagonista de La Última Canción, Ronnie Miller.

  La Última Canción es una novela de Nicholas Sparks que nos trae la historia de una chica adolescente, Veronica (o como todos la conocen, Ronnie) que tras el divorcio de sus padres se vuelve problemática y cambia radicalmente, haciendo la vida imposible a los que la rodean. Pero un verano que ella y su hermano tienen que pasar en casa de su padre en la playa lo cambiará todo, ya que aunque en principio Ronnie no quiere tener nada que ver con su padre, esta estancia y todo lo que descubre le harán cambiar su perspectiva y su vida para siempre.

  La vida de Ronnie siempre había estado marcada por la música, gracias a su padre, quien trabaja como profesor de piano y le enseñó a tocar este instrumento de pequeña, hasta que lo deja de golpe cuando sus padres se separan, justo antes de hacer la prueba para entrar en una importante escuela de música. Con solo leer el título de la novela, podemos adivinar que es un tema que acompaña a Ronnie durante todo el libro. 

  La verdad es que es un personaje que cambia muchísimo; comienza siendo demasiado difícil de tratar, se opone firmemente a sus padres y se cierra a la gente de su edad... Solo muestra cariño hacia su hermano pequeño, con quien siempre es muy protectora. Pero a medida que pasa el verano empieza a conocer gente, se da cuenta de los verdaderos motivos que movieron a su padre a dejarles y descubre otros secretos que le hacen replantearse su situación. 
  
  Esta novela fue llevada al cine en 2009, protagonizada por Miley Cyrus y Liam Hemsworth. Miley es quien da vida a Ronnie (nombre que aparentemente eligió ella a petición del autor), y aunque, como en la mayoría de los casos hay demasiados detalles del libro que no aparecen en la adaptación, hay que decir que la película es bastante fiel a la historia.

  The Last Song is a novel by Nicholas Sparks that tells us the story of a teenage girl, Veronica (or as everyone knows her, Ronnie) who after her parents' divorce becomes a problematic girl and changes drastically, making everybody's life much more difficult. But everything will change one summer that she and her brother have to spend with their father on the beach, even though Ronnie does not want to have anything to do with his dad at the beginning.
  
  Ronnie's life has always been influenced by music, thanks to her dad, a piano teacher who taught her how to play this instrument when she was a kid. But she stops playing after her parents' break up, just before trying out for an important music school. Just by reading the title of the book we can guess this theme will be particularly important for Ronnie.
  This character changes a lot actually; she starts being too hard to handle, se confronts her parents and does not get close to people her age... She just seems to care about her little brother, with whom she has always been protective. But as summer goes by she realizes the real reasons why her dad left them and also discovers some secrets that make her whole point of view change.
  
  This novel was made into a movie on 2009, starring Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth. Miley played our protagonist, Ronnie (name that she chose herself under the author's request), and although the movie leaves some details from the book that are really worth it (as it always happens), we have to say that it is quite faithful to the original story.

My Top 10 books

Ayer posteé una entrada sobre Juliet, así que hoy he decidido subir una entrada con mi top 10 de mis libros o series preferidas. Sólo pondré las razones de por qué me gustan, porque si tuviera que poner la sinopsis, sería una entrada muy larga.

Yesterday I posted an entry about Juliet, so today I decided to post an entry about my top 10 favorite books or series. I´ll just put the reasons why I like them because if I had to put the synopsis, it would be a very long entry.

1. Los Hijos de la Tierra/ Earth´s Children (Jean M. Auel)

Esta serie marco un punto de inflexión en mis gustos de lectura, cambie de una literatura más infantil a una adulta drásticamente. Dí con el primer libro de casualidad en la biblioteca y cuando comencé a leer la historia de Ayla, quedé totalmente enganchada. Cuando apareció Jondalar en el segundo libro ya amé los libros. Además de que fueron los primeros libros con escenas eróticas que leí, si hubieran sido otros libros y no la historia de Ayla y Jondalar, estoy casi segura de que los hubiera dejado por el alto contenido de sexo, pero simplemente no pude, así que a la edad de 13 años comencé mis andaduras por este género literario.

This series marked a turning point in my reading tastes, I changed drastically from child literature to adult literature. I found the first book by chance in the library and when I read the story of Ayla, I was totally hooked. When Jondalar appeared in the second book and I loved the books. Besides they were the first books I read erotic scenes, if they were other books and not the story of Ayla and Jondalar, I'm pretty sure he would have left by the high content of sex, but just could not, so to the age of 13 I began my wanderings through this literary genre.

2. Bloodlines (Richelle Mead)

Estos libros me encantaron desde el momento en que leí el primero de ellos y aunque de momento sólo han sacado tres de los seis libros de esta serie ya supe desde el primer momento que iban a estar entre mis libros favoritos.

I loved these books from the moment I read the first one. Although there have only been released three of the six books of this series, I knew from the very beginning that they would be among my favorite books.

3. La Hermandad de la Daga Negra/ Black Dagger Brotherhood (J.R.Ward)
Esta serie es de las más largas que he leído, ya llevan 11 libros y doy gracias por ello porque así tengo la oportunidad de disfrutar de los personajes una y otra vez. Estos libros tienen vampiros super calientes, acción, intriga, romance y escenas muy calientes. La autora ha creado un mundo alternativo en la ciudad de Nueva York.

This series is the longest I've read, it is composed by 11 books and I thank the author for that, because then I could have the opportunity to enjoy the characters over and over again. These books hsve super hot vampires, action, intrigue, romance and hot scenes. The author has created an alternative world in the city of New York.

4. Memorias de Idhún (Laura gallego)

Esta serie es increíblemente perfecta. Tiene aventura, fantasía, magia, 2 chicos super sexys y es la historia de amor más perfecta y emocionante de todos los libros que me he leído. La autora ha creado un mundo donde sumergirse.

This series is incredibly perfect. It has adventure, fantasy, magic, 2 super sexy guys and  it is the perfect love story of all the books I've read. The author has created a world where to get stuck in.

5. Cazadores de Sombras: Los Orígenes/ The Infernal Devices(Cassandra Clare)
Me encanta el mundo de Cazadores de Sombras, pero estos libros son exquisitos. Los personajes son muy completos y me encanta el triángulo amoroso.

I love the world of Shadowhunters, but these books are exquisite. The characters are very believable and I love the love triangle.

6. The Boy Who Sneaks in my Bedroom Window (Kirsty Moseley)

Di con este libro por casualidad en la web de wattpad y simplemente me enamoró. Desde la primera línea me tenía enganchada, pero cuando apareció Liam *suspiro*, simplemente me derretí allí mismo. Seguramente pocos conoceréis a esta autora ya que se auto publica ella misma sus libros y por desgracia sólo están en inglés, aunque en la web de Bookzinga podéis encontrar su traducción. Si tenéis la oportunidad de leerlo, hacedlo. Simplemente os dejará sin respiración.

I found this book by chance on the wattpad web and I just loved it. From the first line it had me hooked, but when  Liam appeared  * sigh *, I just melted right there. Certainly,  just a few know this author as she self publishes her books and they are unfortunately only in English, but on the web of Bookzinga you can find the Spanish translation. If you have the chance to read it, do it.This book will leave you breathless, I swear.

7. Harry Potter (J.K.Rowling)

Como no podía de ser de otra forma, esta fantástica serie de libros no podía faltar. Harry Potter fue la serie que realmente me enganchó a la lectura y he crecido con ella. También marcó un punto de inflexión en mis hábitos literarios, porque cuando empecé a leerlos no me gusta demasiado leer, pero tras el primer libro ya estaba completamente enganchada. Además, estos libros me enseñaron a tener paciencia porque entre libro y libro pasaba mucho tiempo.

This fantastic series of books could not be miss. Harry Potter was the series that really got me hooked on reading, and I've grown up with it. It also marked a turning point in my literary habits, because when I started reading them I did not like too much reading, but after the first book I was completely hooked. In addition, these books taught me to be patient because between book and  book there was so much waiting time.

8. Dare You To (Katie McGarrie)

Aunque todavía no se ha publicado, tuve la suerte de leerlo antes gracias a NetGalley. Es el segundo libro de la serie Pushing the Limits, la cual me encantó, pero esta vez la autora se superó. La historia es preciosa y está tan bien escrito que realmente parece como si estuvieras dentro del libro. A pesar de que muchos libros me han hecho llorar, este libro me convirtió en un charco de lágrimas en muchos momentos pero también me hizo reír un montón y suspirar en muchos otros. Es un libro perfectamente perfecto.

Although not yet published, I was fortunate to read it before thanks to NetGalley. It is the second book in the series Pushing the Limits, which I loved, but this time the author was exceeded. The story is beautiful and so well written that it really looks like you are inside the book. Although many books have made me mourn, this book turned me into a puddle of tears on many occasions but also made ​​me laugh a lot and sigh in many others. The book is perfectly perfect.

9. Delirium (Lauren Oliver)

Este libro ocupa un lugar especial entre mis libros porque fue la primera novela dístopica que leí y me encantó. Sólo he puesto el primer libro entre mis favoritos porque tras leer Requiem quedé decepcionada con la serie, pero a pesar de ello recomiendo que la leáis, si todavía no lo habéis hecho.

This book has a special place among my books because it was the first dystopian novel I read and I loved it. Only the first book is among my favorites because I was disappointed after reading Requiem , but despite this I recommend you to read if, if you have not done it yet.

10. The Host (Stephenie Meyer)

Hace años que leí este libro pero todavia recuerto que en cuanto lo leí, me enamoré. La historia de Megan, Wanda, Jared e Ian es tan increíblemente perfecta quees prácticamente imposible que lo haya escrito la misma autora que creó la horrible serie de Crepúsculo.

Years ago I read this book but I still remember that when I started to read it, I fell in love. The story of Megan, Wanda, Jared and Ian is so incredibly perfect that it is almost impossible that it have been written by the same author who created the horrible Twilight series.
