Valentine Morgenstern

In today's BBM we have a real bad guy from one of the most succesful sagas of these months (because of the imminent release of the movie adaption), The Mortal Instruments by Cassandra Clare. I say he is a real bad guy because from this series of books we could get many of our 'bad boys' (and we will probably make them) but today we have Valentine Morgensten, the main antagonist.

Valentine was the leader of the Circle but after their rebellion against the Clave, he is thought to be dead until he comes back in order to get the Mortal Cup and create an army of shadowhunters.

In the movie the actor playing Valentine's character will be Jonathan Rhys Meyers, who I think fits perfect for the role although I imagined him a bit older. In any case he has the mysterious and charismatic appearance that Valentine should have and I think he is a great actor too.

REVIEW: Clockwork Princess

Título: Príncesa mecánica (Los orígenes #3)
Autor: Cassandra Clare
Editorial: Destino

Title: Clockwork Princess ( The Infernal Devices #3)
Author: Cassandra Clare
Editorial: McElderry Books
Release date in U.S.A: March 19th 2013
Synopsis: Tessa and her companions travel all over the world as they race to stop the clockwork army before it’s too late. As Jem’s health worsens alarmingly and his friends search desperately for a cure, can Tessa choose between the two boys she loves—even if it means never seeing the other one again?

MY FAVOURITE CHARACTER: I cannot choose anyone because they are all amazing, but I would pick Will and as he will be the next star of Bad Boys Monday I'll leave  you with the intrigue.

Opinion: From the moment I finished Clockwork Prince a year ago I did not want, I needed to read Clockwork Princess. And when my sister went on vacation to Florida a month ago I had to ask her to buy it for me because I could not wait until its publication in Spanish.
Since its publication in the United States I had been reading tweets from people who had already read it and I was killing myself reading comments that they had been crying, that  it was perfect, absolutely brilliant. And I could only think of how the author have done to make it as perfect because when I finished reading Clockwork Prince I was quite sure that there was no possibility that the last book will end well as it had left many questions unresolved. But again Clare did it, she outdid herself and created a perfect book.
As I started reading I devoured the book. As always, Cassandra Clare takes us into the world of Shadowhunters in a wonderful way, the storytelling is so fluid that sometimes I really seemed to be in London with the characters. This book reveals all the unknowns, there is more action, romance and the parallel stories to Will-Tessa-Jem are great.
Will ... I felt in love from the first book but he is embedded in the heart me * sigh * and Jem * double sigh * is SO perfectly perfect. Tessa is a fucking lucky girl, just saying.
During the last 100 pages or so, all I could do was mourn or smile and before the epilogue I had a hole in my heart and she killed me with the epilogue. I had to stop reading because I was not only crying, I was embraced the book literally sobbing tears because I didn see the letters blurred and the more I read the more I cried. A book absolutely perfect, Cassandra Clare is a genius, really. I do not know if ever have happened to you that when you finish a book all you can ask yourself  is and now how do I keep my life after reading something like this?.
So if I have left with intrigue, go read it NOW!

“And now I need you to do for me what I cannot do for myself. For you to be my eyes when I do not have them. For you to be my hands when I cannot use my own. For you to be my heart when mine is done beating.”
― Cassandra Clare, Clockwork Princess

Will Herondale

With all the papers and exams at Collegue they are not letting me live. So I decided to do a Bad Boy that had something to do with my degree not to feel so guilty, and the first thing that came to mind was William Herondale.

Will is an 18 year-old young Englishman, who is one of the main characters of the Shadowhunters Series: The Infernal Devices by Cassandra Clare. He was born in Wales. He has dark hair and blue eyes. He is a Shadowhunter, Jem Carstairs is his parabatai and he is in love with Tessa Gray. He loves literature, he has a pretty sarcastic mood and he defends with his life whom he loves. He is afraid of ducks.

His carefree attitude, his physique and in general, all about William make him an irresistible Bad Boy.

And here I leave you some pictures of two possible Williams: Joshua Anthony Brand and Douglas Booth.

"You are the first dream, the only dream I ever was unable to stop myself from dreaming. You are the first dream of my soul, and from that dream I hope will come all other dreams, a lifetime’s worth."- Will Herondale

My Top 10 books

Yesterday I posted an entry about Juliet, so today I decided to post an entry about my top 10 favorite books or series. I´ll just put the reasons why I like them because if I had to put the synopsis, it would be a very long entry.

This series marked a turning point in my reading tastes, I changed drastically from child literature to adult literature. I found the first book by chance in the library and when I read the story of Ayla, I was totally hooked. When Jondalar appeared in the second book and I loved the books. Besides they were the first books I read erotic scenes, if they were other books and not the story of Ayla and Jondalar, I'm pretty sure he would have left by the high content of sex, but just could not, so to the age of 13 I began my wanderings through this literary genre.

2. Bloodlines (Richelle Mead)

I loved these books from the moment I read the first one. Although there have only been released three of the six books of this series, I knew from the very beginning that they would be among my favorite books.

This series is the longest I've read, it is composed by 11 books and I thank the author for that, because then I could have the opportunity to enjoy the characters over and over again. These books hsve super hot vampires, action, intrigue, romance and hot scenes. The author has created an alternative world in the city of New York.

This series is incredibly perfect. It has adventure, fantasy, magic, 2 super sexy guys and  it is the perfect love story of all the books I've read. The author has created a world where to get stuck in.

5. Cazadores de Sombras: Los Orígenes/ The Infernal Devices(Cassandra Clare)

I love the world of Shadowhunters, but these books are exquisite. The characters are very believable and I love the love triangle.

6. The Boy Who Sneaks in my Bedroom Window (Kirsty Moseley)

I found this book by chance on the wattpad web and I just loved it. From the first line it had me hooked, but when  Liam appeared  * sigh *, I just melted right there. Certainly,  just a few know this author as she self publishes her books and they are unfortunately only in English, but on the web of Bookzinga you can find the Spanish translation. If you have the chance to read it, do it.This book will leave you breathless, I swear.
7. Harry Potter (J.K.Rowling)

This fantastic series of books could not be miss. Harry Potter was the series that really got me hooked on reading, and I've grown up with it. It also marked a turning point in my literary habits, because when I started reading them I did not like too much reading, but after the first book I was completely hooked. In addition, these books taught me to be patient because between book and  book there was so much waiting time.
8. Dare You To (Katie McGarrie)

Although not yet published, I was fortunate to read it before thanks to NetGalley. It is the second book in the series Pushing the Limits, which I loved, but this time the author was exceeded. The story is beautiful and so well written that it really looks like you are inside the book. Although many books have made me mourn, this book turned me into a puddle of tears on many occasions but also made me laugh a lot and sigh in many others. The book is perfectly perfect.

9. Delirium (Lauren Oliver)

This book has a special place among my books because it was the first dystopian novel I read and I loved it. Only the first book is among my favorites because I was disappointed after reading Requiem , but despite this I recommend you to read if, if you have not done it yet.

10. The Host (Stephenie Meyer)

Years ago I read this book but I still remember that when I started to read it, I fell in love. The story of Megan, Wanda, Jared and Ian is so incredibly perfect that it is almost impossible that it have been written by the same author who created the horrible Twilight series.

Jace Wayland

So today it's Monday again and we know what that means... a new Bad Boy!

This time we bring you a literary character from a saga that is very popular at the moment and will keep like that throughout this year since its film adaptation will be released this summer. We are talking about The Mortal Instruments and its main character, Jace Wayland.

Jace Wayland is a young but experienced shadowhunter that is presented from the very beginning as an arrogant, conceited and sometimes a little insolent guy with a charm (of which he's really aware) that attracts whoever is around.

He's not an unpleasant person but he can be too full of himself sometimes, and that's why most characters develop a love-hate feeling towards him. Pretty much like the one us readers develop (maybe with female readers love takes over hate most of the time).

He takes his occupation as a shadowhunter very seriously and enjoys it so much as well, and this makes him be very protective with people. So not everything about him is bad: he cares about others more than it can seem at first sight. And despite giving this image of a tough and insensitive guy, we see throughout the books that he is not always like that, specially when people he cares about are being harmed.

We already know who will bring this character to life on the big screen. After many speculations and many names crossing our minds (Alex Pettyfer was many people's bet), some months ago it was discovered that Jamie Campbell Bower would be the one playing the part. I personally like this choice, it is pretty accurate both in physical appearance and in the 'bad boy' attitude the actor evokes (even a bit too strong for Jace maybe).

Anyway on the 23rd August will be able to judge whether Jamie Campbell Bower does a good job and we will enjoy The Mortal Instruments on theatres at last!

“Not everything is about you," Clary said furiously. "Possibly," Jace said, "but you do have to admit that the majority of things are.”
