REVIEW: Jump

Opinion: It is a short story with a sassy, funny and kick-ass protagonist. The story starts in a really exciting way, full of danger and intrigue. It catches the reader´s attention from the very first sentence: “Jump."My mother's voice popped into my head; "Would you jump off a bridge if so-and-so asked you too?”  till the end because the story has a circular structure that fits perfectly, it gives the feeling of perfection. Every single word and action falls in its place creating a feeling of continuity. Though it is a fast reading, the author has created an story so full of action and intrigue that I would love to read more about these characters because even though the end is perfectly wrapped up I still have the feeling that you get one an author releases a sneak peek of the first character of the book. And that´s what I love about Jen, in a short story and even in just a sentence, she is able to transport the reader to a fantasy world where everything is possible.

While reading  “Jump” I was so hooked in the story that when I finished it I kept trying to go to the next page because I needed more! It ended in the most interesting part! You can give me a bunch of hot guys and leader and then take them as fast as they came, I wanted more!

So it is a fun and fast pace read full of fantasy and men in leather...then why are you still there staring at the screen? Go and read it, you won´t regret it!

Tal vez dependería de quién estaba haciendo la  pregunta. Nuestra heroína tiene agallas y sentido del humor, sin embargo, sufre de un caso extremo de ropa inadecuada. Cuando las cosas toman un giro de peligroso a algo peor ¿qué hará cuando la fantasía se hace realidad? Advertencia: puede incluir hombres calientes vestidos en cuero, canto y demonios.

Opinión: Es una historia corta con una heroína descarada, divertida y de armas tomar. La historia comienza de una manera muy emocionante, llena de peligros e intriga. Llama la atención del lector desde la primera frase: “La voz de mi madre me vino a la cabeza: "¿Saltarías de un puente, si tal y cual te lo pidiera?"

Hasta el final, porque la historia de "Jump" tiene una estructura circular que encaja a la perfectamente, y da la sensación de perfección. Cada palabra y  acción cae en su lugar para crear  una sensación de continuidad. A pesar de que es una lectura rápida, la autora ha creado una historia tan llena de acción e intriga que me gustaría leer más acerca de estos personajes porque, aunque el final está perfectamente cerrado todavía tengo la sensación de que podría ser el adelanto de el primer capítulo de ¡ libro. Y eso es lo que me encanta de Jen, que en una historia corta e incluso en tan sólo una frase,  es capaz de transportar al lector a un mundo de fantasía donde todo es posible.

Durante la lectura de "Jump" estaba tan enganchada que cuando lo terminé me quedé tratando de pasar a la página siguiente porque ¡necesitaba más! ¡Se terminó en la parte más interesante! No me puedes dar un montón de chicos guapos  y luego llevártelos tan rápido como llegaron, ¡yo quería más!

Es una lectura con un ritmo rápido,  divertido y lleno de fantasía y de  hombres vestidos de cuero ... así que ¿por qué sigues ahí mirando a la pantalla? Ve y léelo, ¡no te arrepentirás!

REVIEW: Broken Aro

Running turns into another race altogether as her world falls to pieces again and again.

Opinion: I  ventured into this reading not really knowing what to expect… A love story? An adventure book? Fantasy maybe? It turns out that Broken Aro is all those things combined in a captivating story of a young girl that is compelled to grow up too fast in order to survive.

When we first get to know our protagonist it is easy to presume that she is an overprotected fifteen-year old girl, an inexperienced child in a male world. It seems so up to a point; however as soon as the attacks to her hometown begin and she finds herself alone, we can see that, not only is she strong enough to handle it, but also turns out to be a very resourceful lady. Being raised with seven soldier brothers has taught her many things.

Nevertheless she manages to find two perfectly good ‘guardians’ on the way who play a protective role with her, and who are willing to risk their own safety for hers. Aro bonds instantly with Kei, a kind of step-brother to her but also gets strangely close to Prince, a very mysterious young boy. After all, how much suffering can a sweet teenager take on her own?

It is so easy to keep one’s attention and excitement while reading Broken Aro; as soon as the characters get close to a ‘comfortable’ situation when we somehow think they are safe, something unexpected happens, something that usually compromises Aro in some way and makes her keep the struggle for survival.

Great fantastic novel all in all, totally worth reading and a beautifully written ‘girl against the world’ story!

Lidiar con el peligro se convierte en su forma de vida, pero ninguno de ellos considera que nada puede ser tan peligroso como una profecía. Correr se convierte en otra carrera en conjunto mientras su mundo se cae a pedazos otra vez.

Opinión: Me aventuré en esta lectura sin saber muy bien que esperar… ¿Una historia de amor? ¿Un libro de aventuras? ¿Fantasía quizás? Resulta que Broken Aro es todo eso combinado en una cautivadora historia sobre una joven que ha de crecer demasiado pronto para poder sobrevivir.

Cuando conocemos a la protagonista por primera vez es fácil asumir que es una quinceañera sobreprotegida, una niña en un mundo de hombres. Esa es la impresión que da hasta cierto punto; pero cuando los ataques a su ciudad empiezan y se encuentra sola, podemos ver como, no solo es lo suficientemente fuerte para sobrellevarlo, sino que es además una chica de recursos. Al fin y al cabo crecer con siete hermanos soldado le ha enseñado muchas cosas.

Aún así consigue encontrar dos ‘guardianes’ que actúan como sus protectores y que están dispuestos a poner en juego su propia seguridad por la de Aro. Enseguida conecta con Kei, que es algo así como su hermanastro, pero también tiene una extraña complicidad con Prince, un chico muy misterioso. Después de todo, ¿cuánto sufrimiento puede aguantar una adolescente sola?

Es muy sencillo mantener la atención y emoción en todo momento leyendo Broken Aro; en cuanto los personajes se aproximan a una situación ‘de comodidad’, cuando creen que están seguros al fin, algo inesperado ocurre; algo que normalmente compromete a Aro de alguna manera y la hace tener que seguir luchando por sobrevivir.

Es una estupenda novela fantástica; esta historia de ‘chica contra el mundo’ definitivamente merece la pena.

REVIEW: Witchstruck

Opinión: Solicité el libro a través de Netgalley porque la portada me pareció muy bonita y porque siempre me ha interesado la brujería y la época de los Tudor, así que no pude resistirme a leer las 2 cosas juntas.

El libro está narrado desde el punto de vista de Meg, la protagonista de la historia. Meg me gustó como protagonista, pero me faltó saber un poco más de ella.

El ritmo narrativo es un poco lento y creo que a la autora le faltó hacer un poco más de investigación histórica. Porque yo sabía en que época estaba la historia, las fechas exacta porque he tenido que estudiar la época de los Tudor pero para cualquier otro lector la información proporcionada es muy poca. Una vez que comienza la acción el libro pasa muy rápido.

Me gustó mucho que incorporara personajes españoles, que fue una de las razones por las que solicité el libro.

Me encantó que la autora diera un nuevo giro a la época de los Tudor y que se centrará en Elizabeth en vez de en Henry VIII, fue algo totalmente refrescante de leer. Y es que cuando estaba estudiando los Tudor hace un par de años, todo se centraba alrededor de cuantas mujeres había tenido Henry VIII. Una de las cosas que más me gustó del libro fueron las interacciones entre Meg y Alejandro y es que me encanta ver por una vez que un español puede ser educado y romántico, y es que los españoles siempre aparecemos como los malos. Me encantaría haber leído algo de la Inquisición española ya que es algo que marcó la historia.La religión juega un papel muy importante y me faltó un poco de introducción histórica sobre porqué estaban en “guerra” los católicos y protestantes.

Estoy deseando ver cómo será la vida en la corte, un sitio lleno de peligros y misterios para Meg. Y saber que pasa con Marcus Dent. Me encanta leer libros que se centran en temas innovadores y no en los clásicos juveniles. Si queréis leer algo refrescante con toques de misterio y amor definitivamente tenéis que leer Witchstruck. Estoy deseando el leer  Witchfall, el segundo libro de esta trilogía y saber algo más de Meg y Alejandro.

Opinion: I requested the book through Netgalley because the cover seemed very nice and because I've always been interested in witchcraft and  the Tudor times, so I could not resist reading both things together.

The book is narrated from Meg´s point of view, the protagonist of the story. I liked Meg as a protagonist, but I would have liked to know a little more about her.

The narrative pace is a bit slow and I think the author needed to do a little historical research. Because I knew that history period and  the exact dates because I had to study the Tudor but for any other reader that is very little information. Once the action begins the book moves very fast.

I liked that it incorporates Spanish characters, which was one of the reasons why I requested the book.

I loved that the author gave a new air to the Tudor history and for her to focus on Elizabeth  instead on Henry VIII, it was totally refreshing to read a new perspective. Because when I was studying the Tudors a couple of years ago, everything was centered around how many women  Henry VIII had. One of the things I liked about the book weere the interactions between Meg and Alejandro and I loved to see for once a Spanish being portrayed as an educated and romantic man, because is  Spanish usually appear as the bad boys. I would love to have read something about  the Spanish Inquisition as it is something that marked the history.Religion plays a very important role and it lacked a bit of historical introduction about why they were at "war" Catholics and Protestants.

I'm excited to see what life will be in court because it´s a place full of dangers and mysteries for Meg. And know what will  happen with Marcus Dent. I love reading books that focus on innovative topics instead  of the cliché young adults. So if you want to read something refreshing with hints of mystery and love you should definitely have to read Witchstruck.

I look forward to reading Witchfall, the second book in this trilogy and know more about Meg and Alejandro.

MI PERSONAJE FAVORITO: Rogan me encantó desde el principio, es un chico guapo, misterioso y peligroso pero en cuanto lo conoces te das cuenta de que hay algo detrás de él y qu no es cómo quiere hacerle creer a todo el mundo.

Opinión: Conseguí este libro a través de Netgalley, lo solicité por la portada y por la sinopsis. Me pareció que podía ser un libro que encajaría perfectamente con mis gustos de lectura.

La historia engancha desde el principio, tiene una narración muy rápida. Hubo incluso algunas veces en las que me parecía que la autora quería adelantar demasiado los hechos. Uno de los factores por los que engancha tan rápidamente es porque la acción comienza desde la primera página, hay tantos giros y descubrimientos inesperados que nunca sabes que esperar. He de decir que en el principio hubo un momento en el que pensé en dejar el libro porque me recordó al principio de una de las películas de REC, la 4 creo ( no puedo decirlo con seguridad porque a los 2 minutos la apague) y es que no me gustan nada las películas de miedo.

La sinopsis y la idea de la historia me parecieron muy originales porque aunque en un principio me recordó a Los Juegos del Hambre, este libro se publicó antes. Decir que este libro estaba publicado anteriormente por la misma autora bajo otro nombre y que también se han producido cambios en la novela. Me gusta más la portada de la nueva edición, es más distopica y acorde con el tema de la historia.

Hasta el último momento estuve dudando sobre cómo acabaría la historia y sobre sí tendría continuación. Y es que el final me gustó pero me esperaba algo más. Soy una romántica empedernida así que aunque hubo algo de romance me faltó un poco más ( y ya sé que la situación no era la más apta para una historia de amor, pero no puedo evitarlo =3) Además, estoy totalmente convencida de que la historia podría ser desarrollada hasta convertirla en una serie. Y es que no es posible que la autora creara un futuro distopico tan completo para luego dejarlo en un solo libro. Además de que me gustaría saber qué pasa con Kira y Rogan.

Como he dicho en el principio, la historia me recordaba a LJDH, pero en una de las tantas cosas en las que esta historia lo supera es en la evolución ed los personajes. Kira y Rogan son personajes completos y complejos con personalidad, pasado, sueños y miedos. El hecho de que el libro este narrado desde el punto de vista de Kira y en primera persona nos acerca más a su personaje, dejando a Rogan un poco en el misterio. Me hubiera encantado leer algún capítulo desde el punto de vista de Rogan. Y es que Rogan me encantó desde el principio, y es que tengo una debilidad por los chicos malos.

Es un libro que recomendaría para todos los que les gusten las novelas distopicas, de ciencia ficción, aventura  incluso romance.

MY FAVOURITE CHARACTER: I loved Rogan from the very beginning, he  is a handsome, mysterious and dangerous but once you know him you realize that there is something behind him and that he is not as bad as he depicts himself.

Opinion: I got this book through Netgalley, I requested it for the cover and the synopsis. I thought it would be a book that would fit perfectly with my reading tastes.

The story hooked from the beginning, it has a very quick development. There were even times when I felt that the author wanted to advance too quickly to some parts of the story. One of the things that hooked me on the reading so quickly was that the action starts since the first page, there are so many twists and unexpected discoveries that you never know what to expect. I must say that in the beginning there was a moment when I thought I'd put the book down because it reminded me of the beginning of one of the REC movies, the 4th I think (I cannot say for sure because after 2 minutes I turned the movie off) and I do not like scary movies.

The synopsis and idea´s story seemed very original because although it initially reminded me of The Hunger Games, this book was published before. I must say  that this book was first published by the same author under a different name and it also has some changes in the novel. I like the cover of the new edition, it is more dystopian than the previous one and it fits the theme of the story.

Till the last moment I was wondering how the story would end and if there would be any continuation. I liked  the end it but I expected more. I am a hopeless romantic and despite there was some romance I needed a bit more (and I know that the situation was not the most suitable for a love story, but I cannot help it = 3) Also, I'm totally convinced that the story could be developed as a series of books. Because the author has created a complex dystopian future and then leave it as a single book. Besides, I want to know what happens to Kira and Rogan.

As I previously said, the story reminded me of The Hunger Games, but this story has a better evolution of the characters. Kira and Rogan are complete and complex characters with personality, past, dreams and fears. The fact that this book is narrated from Kira´s point of view and in first person brings us closer to her while Rogan is left  on the shadows. I would love to read a chapter from Rogan´s point of view because I loved Rogan from the beginning.

I would recommend this book to everybody who like dystopian, science fiction, adventure, even romance novels.

Sin embargo, durante un viaje de campamento a las  místicas piscinas de jade, Alex se reúne con Merrick, un chico que le dice la sorprendente verdad acerca de sí misma, y ​​la pesadilla de Alex está a punto de convertirse en realidad. Porque Alex no es adolescente normal ... ella es una medio-sirena y sus aventuras no acaban más que empezar.

MI PERSONAJE FAVORITO: Merrick es el mejor personaje de todos, es el más completo y el más dulce. Definitivamente pasaría por todo lo que Alexa pasa a lo largo del libro solo para poder tener a un Merrick para mí misma.

Opinión: Conseguí este título a través de Netgalley y básicamente lo solicité por la portada tan mística que tiene, por el título y porque por raro que parezca nunca había leído ningún libro de sirenas.

Me encantó que el libro este ambientado en África porque nunca antes había leído un libro que tuviera lugar allí. La verdad es que nunca he tenido curiosidad de ir a África a hacer turismo, pero después de leer Water tengo unas ganas tremendas de visitar Suráfrica. Una de las cosas que más me gustaron del libro fue la descripción de los paisajes, Hardy logró que viera la belleza de Suráfrica desde mi casa. Su narrativa mística y electrizante hizo que viera África de una forma completamente diferente.

La historia en sí se merecería un 5/5 en general pero no pude darle la puntuación entera porque el principio me falló. Me pareció lento y muy obvio hasta la aparición de Merrick, algo que no esperaba porque no acabe de leer la sinopsis entera. La aparición de Merrick fue el impulso que necesitaba la novela para que la historia comenzara a adquirir sentido, además de que añadió más fluidez a la narrativa porque previamente casi todo eran reflexiones de Alexa. Con Merrick comenzaron los diálogos y la aparición de nuevos personajes que añadieron un aire nuevo al libro.

Me pareció un libro muy educativo y útil para que la gente adquiera conciencia de que hay que cuidar el medio ambiente. Y sobre todo ser conscientes de la belleza que esconden los mares y que el futuro de nuestro planeta está en nuestras manos.

Espero que en el próximo libro se desvelen todos los misterios que la autora deja abiertos en el primero.

MY FAVOURITE CHARACTER: Merrick is the best character of the whole book. Definitely I would go through all that Alexa passes throughout the book just to be able to have a Merrick to myself.

Opinion: I got this title through Netgalley and basically I requested it for its mystique cover, for the title and because oddly as it seems, I´ve never  read any book about mermaids.

I loved that the book is set in Africa because I had never read a book that took place there. The truth is I've never been curious to go to Africa to go sightseeing, but after reading Water I have an overwhelming desire to visit South Africa. One of the things I like about the book was the description of landscapes, I was able to see the beauty of South Africa from my house. Her electrifying and mystique narrative made ​​me see Africa in a completely different way.

The story itself deserves a 5/5 overall but could not give the whole score because I didn´t like the beginning. It felt slow and very obvious until the appearance of Merrick, something unexpected because I didn´t finish reading the entire synopsis. The appearance of Merrick was the boost the novel needed for the story to start to make sense, plus it added more fluidity to the narrative because previously most of the narrative were reflections of Alexa. With Merrick, dialogues began and the emergence of new characters added a new look to the book.

I found it a very educational and useful book for people to become aware of the need to protect the environment. And above all to be aware of the beauty hidden in the seas and that the future of our planet is in our hands.

I hope in the next book all the mysteries will be unveil.

MI PERSONAJE FAVORITO: Ms. Leucosia fue uno de los personajes que más me sorprendieron y me gustó mucho el papel que jugó en la historia.

Opinión: Recibí este libro a través de Netgalley y lo solicité porque sinopsis me pareció muy original, a pesar de que la portada no me convencía mucho es uno de esos casos en los que no hay que juzgar al libro por la portada.

Desde la primera página hasta la última el libro me enganchó, no sólo por la historia que es refrescante y cautivadora, si no por el estilo de escritura que es fluido e inspirador. La autora además ha escrito una historia dentro de otra historia, Silent Echo coge trozos de La Odisea, realmente no sé cuantos porque no he leído La Odisea (algo que definitivamente voy a hacer este año porque tras leer la historia de Portia tengo mucha curiosidad) y dentro de la historia de Portia las canciones forman una historia dentro de una historia. Las canciones me encantaron e incluso hubo alguna que se me quedo.

Hacía mucho tiempo que no leía un libro que tuviera tantos giros y descubrimientos inesperados. Cuando piensas que ya has descubierto todo lo que esconde la historia, de repente una escena vuelve a dejarte con la intriga y te desbarata todo lo que pensabas previamente. Es un libro hipnotizante que además de empezar enganchando al lector completamente, lo deja cautivado hasta la última página, literalmente.

La referencia a temas actuales me encantó porque además de reconocer sobre todo lo que la autora hace referencia fue un cambio que aportó realismo a la historia. Estaba harta de leer libros en los que los protagonistas adolescentes tuvieran gustos tan adultos, como gustarles los clásicos, no digo que no haya pero personalmente con las referencias que Freilich introduce en la historia (Apple, Harry Potter, Black Eye Peas) me sentí más a gusto porque son cosas con las que he crecido y me identifico (yo también soy una adicta de Harry Potter)

El libro está narrado en tercera persona, lo que da oportunidad al lector de disfrutar y entender los diferentes personajes o descubrir nuevas facetas de la historia. Los personajes están muy bien desarrollados y es muy fácil sentir empatía hacia ellos. Portia ha sido uno de los que más me han gustado, no sólo en esta historia, si no en general. Portia es madura, inteligente, dulce, carismática y muy buena amiga. Es valiente y fiel y a pesar de sus dificultados siempre se ha enfrentado a la vida con una sonrisa.

Desde el primer momento en el que Félix apareció me gustó, pero a la vez me pasó lo mismo con Max. Fue uno de los pocos casos en los que casi no podía elegir entre los dos, aunque Félix me llamaba más. Aunque estoy segura de que estos dos chicos me sorprenderán en el próximo libro porque creó que están más relacionados con La Odisea que lo que se aprecia a simple vista.

Todo el tema clásico siempre me ha fascinado y he leído muchas de las diferentes leyendas pero siempre me gusta ver nuevos aspectos sobre mitología. Además de que fue un elemento refrescante que añadir al género YA.

Sin duda Silent Echo se ha convertido en uno de los mejores libros que he leído este 2013 e incluso me atrevería a decir que de todos los que me he leído de YA

MY FAVOURITE CHARACTER: Ms. Leucosia was one of the characters that surprised me the most and I really liked the role she played in the story.

Opinion: I received this book through Netgalley, I requested it because the synopsis seemed very original, even though the cover did not convince me a lot, but this is one of those cases where you must not judge the book by its cover.

From the very first page to the last one the book hooked me, not only because the story is refreshing and captivating but because the writing style is fluid and inspiring. The author has also written a story within a story, Silent Echo takes pieces of the The Odyssey, I really do not know how many because I have not read The Odyssey yet (something I'm definitely going to do this year because after reading the story of Portia I have a lot of curiosity) and within Portia's story the songs are a story inside Silent Echo. I loved the songs and there were even some that I kept singing in my head.

It´s been a long time since I´ve  read a book that had so many switches, turns and unexpected discoveries. When you think you've discovered everything that is behind the story suddenly appears a scene leaving you with more intrigue and disrupts everything you previously thought. It is a mesmerizing book, it started engaging the reader completely enthralled till the last page, literally.

I loved the references to current issues because in addition to recognize everything about what the author refers, it was a change that brought realism to the story. I was tired of reading books in which the teens protagonists have hobbies as if they were adults, for example they like the classics, but personally with the references Freilich introduces in the story (Apple, Harry Potter, Black Eye Peas) I felt more comfortable because there are things that I've grown and I identify with(I am also addicted to Harry Potter)

The book is narrated in the third person, giving the reader an opportunity to enjoy and understand the different characters and discover new facets of the story. The characters are very well developed and it is easy to empathize with them. Portia has been one of the ones I liked, not only in this story, but in general. Portia is mature, intelligent, sweet, charismatic and a very good friend. She is brave and faithful despite her handicap she has always faced life with a smile.

From the first time, I liked Felix  yet the same thing happened with Max. It was one of the few cases in which I almost could not choose between the two of them, though Felix has a place in my heart from the very beginning. Although I'm sure these two guys will surprise me in the next book because I believe they are more related to The Odyssey than what the author shows us at first sight.

All the classic theme has always fascinated me and I've read many different legends but I always like to discover new aspects of mythology. Besides, it was a refreshing element to add to the YA genre.

Certainly Silent Echo has become one of the best books I've read this 2013 and I even dare saying that is one of the best YA books.

Para alejarse, Ina se aventura a una cabaña en una montaña remota, con la intención de pasar un tiempo en solitario.

Ella no cuenta con Adam, el hombre que cuida de las cabañas y que es una distracción de lo sexy que es. Adam llegó a la montaña para estar lejos de cualquier cosa que podría causarle dolor e Ina despierta sentimientos en lo que pensaba que había dejado atrás.

Como Adam e Ina abren sobre su pasado, la montaña parece el escenario perfecto para una segunda oportunidad en el amor.

Hasta que se dan cuenta de que no están solos.

MI PERSONAJE FAVORITO: Adam es el personaje masculino principal. Desde que leí cómo se llamaba supe que me gustaría y es que no sé porqué pero asocio el nombre de Adam a hombre sexy, cabe decir que mi propio coche se llama Adam (sí, me encanta poner nombres a los coches xD) Me gustó su personalidad y sus valores.

Opinión: Conseguí este libro a través de Netgalley, pero lo que me hizo solicitarlo fue el ver que a Karen Amanda Hooper, una de mis autoras favoritas y amiga en Goodreads estuviera disfrutando tanto al leer el libro. Me entró la curiosidad de saber quién era Adam porque lo ponían como un hombre muy sexy. Y la verdad puedo decir que el libro no me decepcionó en absoluto y que me enamoré de Adam.

El libro está narrado desde el punto de vista de Ina. Ella es un personaje con el que me sentí identificada en varios aspectos. Como por ejemplo que el año que viene acabo mi último año de universidad y no sé qué haré con mi vida tal como están las cosas. Ina me pareció una protagonista bastante creíble y fácil de identificarse con ella desde el principio.

Me gustó como Ina evoluciona a lo largo del libro, lo que no me gustó es que parece que para evolucionar necesita a los hombres. En mi opinión se apoya demasiado en Adam.

Me encantó la forma en la que la autora describe la acción, especialmente los momentos de misterio e intriga. Durante muchas de las escenas de misterio estaba asustadísima (puede que sea porque soy muy miedosa), además de que me lo estaba leyendo por la noche. En este aspecto, la sensación de suspense está muy bien lograda.

También me gustó que creara un personaje masculino en el que los lectores tuvieran que ver más allá de la fachada para conocerle. Normalmente con ver una descripción en la que ponga que el personaje es sexy a las chicas suele gustarnos, sobre todo si es el personaje principal. El usar la barba de Adam como escudo fue muy útil porque a mí los hombres con barba no me van. Pero tras conocer al personaje no me importó cómo era físicamente y me pareció una lección muy importante que debería tener más en cuenta.

Es un libro muy entretenido y perfecto cómo lectura de verano, 100% recomendable.

MY FAVOURITE CHARACTER: Adam is the main male character. Since I read his name I knew I would like him, and I do not know why but I associate the name of Adam with a sexy man. I can even say that my own car is named Adam (yes, I love to put names to cars xD) I liked his personality and his values.

Opinion: I got this book through Netgalley, but what made me request it was to see that Karen Amanda Hooper, one of my favorite authors and friends on Goodreads, was enjoying reading the book so much. I was curious to know who was Adam because he was portrayed as a very sexy man. And I can truly say that the book did not disappoint me at all and I fell in love with Adam.

The book is narrated from Ina´s point of view of. She is a character that I identified with in several respects. Like for example that next year I´ll finish my last year of college and I do not know what I'll do with my life as it is. As protagonist Ina seemed like a pretty credible character and easy to identify with her ​​from the beginning.

I really like how Ina evolves throughout the book, though I did not like that she seems to need men to evolve. In my opinion, she relies too much on Adam.

I loved the way the author describes the action, especially the moments of mystery and intrigue. During many scenes of mystery I felt really scared (may be because I get afraid really easily), plus I was reading at night. In this aspect, the feeling of suspense is really well made.

I also liked that she created a male character in which readers have to look beyond the facade to know him. Normally with a description in which the character is said to be sexy,  girls usually like him, especially if is the main character. Using Adam's beard as a shield was very useful because I don´t really like men with facial hair. But after knowing more about the character I did not care how he looked like and I found in it a very important lesson that I should take more into account.

It is a very entertaining book and is perfect as summer reading, I recommended it 100%.
And at one point, so quietly I could hardly decipher the words, he whispered, "Don´t hurt me"
