I am a loyal fan of Layla Hagen´s books, I think I´ve read every one of them and every time I get the chance to read her stories I am left speechless. She can transport readers to a world where love wins against all odds. In each of the books from the Bennett Family series she approaches love from different perspectives. In Your Inescapable Love, the friend zoned love blossoms in a chemistry out of this world. 

I utterly adore how believable Hagen´s stories are, I feel like I could undoubtedly live in the world she portrays so effortlessly.

I am blown away by her capacity of creating and developing a set of characters that seem real and tangible to all her readers. With each story readers get to know some new characters while at the same time reunite and reminisce with previous ones and keep seeing their story evolve.  It is really difficult to choose a favorite couple because each story has something unique and magical about them, though I have to say I am addicted to friends to lovers’ storylines.

As always, Hagen´s writing is impeccable, well-paced and rich in portraying emotions through words. I won´t stop following her career because since the first book I´ve read by her, I have been hopelessly enchanted by her beautiful writing.

My Review:

I´ve loved Layla Hagen´s stories since I first read a book by her which was Lost in Us. I´ve been lucky enough to appreciate her evolution as a writer through her beautiful stories.  In her #Lost series I was amazed by her storytelling charm, in Withering Hope the characters´complexity, depth and above all the feelings both characters made me feel. And finally with The Bennett Family series, the utterly addictive dialogues and banter between all the sets of characters kept me on my toes the whole time.

Your Forever Love is the third instalment on The Bennett Family series and is the only one I have read from this series but I am planning on fixing it as soon as possible because I so want to stay immersed in this amazing world.  I´ve always been spellbound by the city of San Francisco since I first visited it 6 years ago and this book has make me want to go back there.

The chemistry between Eric and Pippa is out of the charts and I am simply in love with both of them. Pippa is independent, brave, caring and protective of her family, and even though she has been hurt before she is willing to give love a second chance. However, Eric who has also been hurt is more reticent to open not just his heart but also his daughter´s heart to new chances at love. At the same time, all the secondary characters have their own true personalities that make you want to keep reading all the books just to discover how each of their stories will end.

All in all, I am enamored with Layla Hagen´s books, they are the perfect mix of beloved characters, believable stories, catching dialogues and beautiful settings. I would undoubtedly recommend this book to everyone who loves a good witty and funny romance with scorching scenes that will leave you wanting for more Bennett family adventures.

My Review:

I loved this book! It made me cry, fall in love, feel hope and lots of mixed feelings at the same time. I was hooked from the very beginning because I haven´t read this kind of story in a setting so wild and dangerous.

The characters are believable, powerful and real. I felt what they felt and it made me rethink some prestablished ideas around this kind of survival stories. You can see clearly that the author has done her research of the setting and of the things needed in this kind of situation. It was a very detailed tale of hope and love when everything seems to fade.

There were too many twists in the story that I was attached to my kindle for 2 days in a row, I literally couldn´t put it down. 

The writing of the author is wonderful and it grabs the reader´s attention right from the very beginning till the end. 

I cried a lot in this book, the ending was so beautiful and heartbreaking at the same time!

I would love to read a companion novel about Chris´story, because I think he deserves it.

Random/Funny Facts

So, remember the awkward story I shared with you when Lost in Us was released? The one where I wrote a letter on the back of a paper with a really hot scene in it?

             It gets better.

I love writing in airports. I don’t know why, I just do. If I would ever be blessed to be able to write full time, I’d totally be an airport crasher :-D Well, anyway, I was travelling this one time, and of course I got my laptop out to write a scene. A HOT scene. I didn’t quite manage to finish it while waiting for boarding, so once the plane was in the air, I got out my laptop and began to type away. At some point I shifted slightly in my seat. That’s when I realize the guy seated next to me was staring at my laptop screen and his face was very, very red. I politely smiled and immediately closed my laptop, my own face on fire.

So yeah, I seem to have achieved a new high in embarrassing myself. Not that it will stop me from writing in airports :-D

Excerpt:

"I can't make up my mind," Parker says.

"About what?"

"About what I want to do with you."

I gulp. "Don't I get a say in this?"

He snaps his head up, chuckling. "Not really."

"That's not frustrating at all, you know? What are you thinking right now?"

He tugs his lower lip with his teeth. "You really want to know?"

"Yeah, I really want to know."

He shifts his weight on the edge of the seat, and when he leans forward this time, I don't back off. "I'm thinking I would very much like to see you come," he says into my ear. My mind doesn't register the full impact of his words right away. But my body does. "Anything against that, Jessica?" he whispers, his hand trailing up and down my inner thigh.

"N-no," I say in a low voice. So low that I hope he hasn't heard me. But he has. There's no other explanation as to why his hand has already found its way under my dress.

"Turn around and spread your legs," he commands.

"Parker," I mumble, "not here . . ."

"No one can see us, and Dani won't come back soon. Turn around."

Despite knowing I shouldn't, I turn around. My body no longer seems to listen to any commands of mine. I lean my back against his chest, my head resting on his shoulder, my forehead touching the base of his neck. I look into the room, trying to gauge what those in the boxes opposite us can see. But I can barely see anything in the back row of the boxes directly in front of us. There's no reason to believe anyone could see us from there. Anyone looking from above won't have a clear view of the back row either.

"Spread your legs," he repeats, his tone more authoritative than before. It sends another wave of heat through me. Burying myself in his neck, I open up for him. He doesn't touch me right away. He takes his time, trailing his fingers on the inside of my thigh, inciting a deep hunger in my core that grows with each inch of my skin he touches until I drop any pretense of shame and beg him, "Parker . . ."
