Review: The End of Feeling

Title: The End of Feeling
Author: Cindy C. Bennett
Synopsis: Benjamin Nefer seems to have it all. He’s the most popular guy in school, the star quarterback with college scouts looking at him, his grades are near the top of his class, he can get any girl he wants . . . but he hides behind his dream life to mask the nightmare of his reality. Charlie Austin is the new girl. Forced to move in with a bitter aunt, she only wants to protect her fragile mom from the world’s cruelty. When Benjamin sets his sights on Charlie, she’s armored against his charm—friends warned her about Benjamin’s game of pursuing and then dumping a long line of girls, not caring about the broken hearts he leaves behind. She doesn’t count on how single-minded he can be when she refuses him, or how charismatic, easing into her life through what he claims is just friendship. Benjamin thought he could keep Charlie in the same place he keeps all girls—something to be used and then discarded. But Charlie has as many secrets as he does, secrets he’s determined to discover while keeping his own hidden. He realizes she’s the perfect girlfriend candidate . . . someone he can use to keep up the façade of a perfect life. Now he just has to keep his frozen heart from softening toward this unique girl, because if he doesn’t, his carefully constructed lies might just come thundering down around him, crushing him beneath the burden of feeling.

My Review:

The End of Feeling is a story that shows some of the rawest and truest parts of humanity. This book is not for those of weak heart because this tale will make you cry, hope and love.

I love Bennett´s books from the first time I read Heart on a Chain because she depicts the saddest but at the same time real parts of life. She let readers see the other side of the coin. The thing that I love the most about her books is that they always teach readers a lesson about something important in life. The lesson I learned with The End of Feeling is that not everything is as it seems, which is something you hear about everyday though in reality is really difficult to do, appearances are deceptive.

The characters are depicted very well and are interesting. I especially liked how the relationship between the main characters developed, because they didn´t jump straight into a love relationship, it evolved slowly. This allows the reader to determine if they really like them as a couple. For me it felt very real what Charlie and Benjamin had.

The only downfall of the story is that the rhythm of the story was kind of slow, there was lots of repetitions in the book structure and it kind of took me some time to get used to the pace of the story.

All in all The End of Feeling is really good book that will make you spent a good time reading it, it will also show you at the same time the values of kindness. Highly recommend it for YA readers.

Top Ten Tueday (05)

-Adrian Ivashkov- Bloodline (Richelle Mead)

-Ashton Taylor- Nothing Left To Loose (Kirsty Moseley)

-Adam Wilde- Si decido quedarme (Gayle Froman)

-Rhage- Amante Eterno (J.R.Ward)
Definitivamente no me importaría nada conocerlo...

-Rule Archer- Rule (Jay Crownover)

-Liam James- The Boy Who Sneaks in My Bedroom Window. (Kirsty Moseley)
Kirsty Moseley crea unos personajes irresistibles.

-Ian O´Shea- The Host (Stephanie Meyer)

-Henry Jamison- Heart On a Chain (Cindy C.Bennett)
Definitivamente perfecto.

-Ryan Stone- Dare You To ( Katie McGarry)

Top Ten Characters I would crush on if I were also a fictional character.

Legolas mirada-Jondalar- Earth´s Children ( J.M. Auel)
From the moment he appeared in the second book of this wonderful series, I fell in love with him. He supposedly was a Homo Sapiens and  he was not very handsome, but I imagined hum as Legolas in The Lord of the Rings. Plus he is really in love with Ayla (hence my nickname for the blog), he is a complex character, not perfect and what matters most for him is his family.

-Adrian Ivashkov- Bloodline (Richelle Mead)
When he first appeared in Vampire Academy I had a crush on him. But it wasn´t until he appeared in Bloodlines as a protagonist that I really fell for him. He's a full-blown bad boy, handsome, intelligent, flirt,  he has great sense of humor,  he is hot, sexy, adorable .... How I'd like to be Sydney...

-Ashton Taylor- Nothing Left To Loose (Kirsty Moseley)
Probably just a  few of you will have read this novel from this great author, as it is not published and it is only available to read online in Whattpad. I highly recommend it. Ashton Taylor, the name itself is sexy. He is a SWAT fresh out of the academy, young, and horny as hell. He's sweet, romantic, protective and he would give his life for Annabelle (the protagonist). An  imagine him with the uniform * sigh * he's amazing.

-Adam Wilde- If I Stay ( Gayle Froman)
Adam is just amazing. He's cute, adorable and he is madly in love with Mia. Besides that in the future he will be a sexy rock star, which says a lot in his favor.

-Rhage- Lover Eternal ( J.R.Ward)
After I read all the books of The Black Dagger Brotherhood, Rhage is still my favorite. He's a sexy vampire, he has blond hair and blue eyes, he is mysterious, a little romantic and he has a great sense of humor. Definitely I would not mind meeting him ...

-Rule Archer- Rule (Jay Crownover)
This guy is sexy as hell, so much that we´ve  recently dedicated a Bad Boys Monday. All the tantalizing aura around him, her perfect body, tattoos ... When's my turn?

-Liam James- The Boy Who Sneaks in My Bedroom Window. (Kirsty Moseley)
Kirsty Moseley creates irresistible characters. Liam is sweet, loving, and super sexy and he would do anything for Amber, no matter what. Can anyone tell me where to find my own Liam?

-Ian O´Shea- The Host (Stephanie Meyer)
Ian is super sweet, handsome, and protector. He is awesome because he  fell in love regardless of physical appearance. He's definitely a guy who would like to know because there are very few guys who are not worried about their girl physical appearance.

-Henry Jamison- Heart On a Chain (Cindy C.Bennett)
Henry is protective, affectionate, sincere, brave and handsome. I fell for him when I saw how he treated Kate, he is an amazing guy and we need more guys like him. He is definitely perfect.

-Ryan Stone- Dare You To ( Katie McGarry)
He's sexy, sweet, athletic, he has a gorgeous body and he enjoys writing. He is so in love with the girl he wants that he ´d defend her risking his own life.

Review: Beautiful Beast

Título: Beautiful Beast (Enchanted Fairytales #1)
Autor: Cindy C. Bennett

Title: Beautiful Beast (Enchanted Fairytales #1)
Author: Cindy C. Bennett
Synopsis: Calli is cursed by her beauty.
Though she knows it's cruel, Calli agrees to accompany her friends to Monster House where it is rumored the beast howls at the moon each sunset. When she hears him for the first time, her heart is wrenched by the anguish she hears in the sound.

Facing trespassing charges for her folly, Calli is forced to move into Monster House where she is to befriend the beast. Using the bribery offered by his father to gain some desperately needed money for her father, Calli accepts his terms. Horrified but trapped by her circumstance, Calli steps inside the doors of the great house to face the unknown.

Alex is cursed by his beastliness.

Alex believes Calli has bribed her way into his home in order to get a look at the beast of Monster House, and is determined to hate her. He isn't prepared as she batters down the hard walls of his soul with her kindness and humor.

Alex allows Calli into his inner sanctum, sharing with her the most private parts of his heart. But when he finds out the truth, will her love be enough to convince him of her true feelings, or will she lose him forever?

MY FAVOURITE CHARACTER: My favorite character is Alex,he  is surrounded by an aura of mystery about what happened to him. He is mysterious,he  looks dangerous but he is very sweet and has an amazing heart. At first,  he is a complicated character, but as the author takes us into his story, you can do nothing more than love him.

Opinion: Lately, I have been reading some modern versions of the classic tales. And this, as you might guess from the title, is about The Beauty and the Beast. As you know, I love the modern versions of fairy tales, but I particularly loved this one. The storyline follows the original tale but there are many more details than in the classic tales. The secondary characters play an important role in the story. And the love story itself unfolds a little differently than in the original story, but without losing its essence.

Reseña: Rapunzel Untangled

Título: Rapunzel Untangled

Autor: Cindy C. Bennett

Editorial: Cedar Fort, Inc

Title: Rapunzel Untangled

Author: Cindy C. Bennett

Editorial: Cedar Fort, Inc

Synopsis: Rapunzel is not your average teenager.

For one thing, she has a serious illness that keeps her inside the mysterious Gothel Mansion. And for another, her hair is 15 feet long. Not to mention that she’s also the key to ultimately saving the world from certain destruction. But then she meets a boy named Fane, who changes all she has ever known, and she decides to risk everything familiar to find out who she really is.

Filled with romance, adventure, and mystery, Rapunzel Untangled is one story you won’t want to put down. Discover the true meaning of love and friendship in this modern twist to the classic fairytale.

MY FAVOURITE CHARACTER: Rapunzel is my favorite character because she is the character that evolves the most throughout the novel. She looks mature throughout history, and most importantly in my opinion, is that she is the one who decides to leave her bubble, not waiting for her prince to come knocking at her door, if you dare to take the plunge and searches.

Opinion: Rapunzel Untangled is a book that I liked since I saw the synopsis because I'm a fan of fairy tales and its modern versions. Through this book  I really have known the true story behind the story of Rapunzel, since the only version I knew was the one from  Disney.
The relationship between Rapunzel and Fane is amazing and takes many turns. The author has managed to create a love story with more background than the original story. The atmosphere in the 21st century brings new nuances to this fascinating story without losing the essence of the fairytale. The only thing I did not like was that Rapunzel did not have a pet like Pascal (in the Disney version), in the book is a bird, but of course, I adore the little chameleon, so my expectations for the pet were very high.
I loved the book and I recommend it to everyone.
