A short-story erotic romance from Shayla Black:
I’m Kayla.
I’m twenty one.
I’m afraid because ever since a sudden, terrible tragedy, I’m alone in the world—except for my brother’s best friend. But now Oliver intends to move back to London.
I’m in love with him. And I have to persuade him to stay…somehow.
Maybe if I tell him I’m a virgin and show him just how far I’m willing to go to keep him, he’ll give in.
Of course, I never expected that he’d be keeping a shocking secret of his own…

My Review:
My Review:
I've read Shayla Black before and I quite enjoy her scorching hot stories but for some reason I couldn't completely connect to the characters in this one. I am not sure whether it was my mood at the time or something else but I just didn't fall for Oliver the way I usually do for those sexy dominant alphas.
Both Kayla and Oliver are interesting characters but I can honestly say that I couldn't really relate to them. Kayla started quite promising but she completely changed once she got the opportunity to be with Oliver. I get the part where she's been in love with him for as long as she can remember but I don't believe in throwing your dreams and plans for a guy.
On the other hand I love the whole possessive and dominant alpha vibe but with Oliver it was just a little bit too much. I think I might've felt differently if the story was somewhat longer but then again I am not sure.
So in a few words, this is a short and definitely hot read but I think I just wasn't in the mood for it. I would still suggest you give it a try if you are looking for something short to take your mind off everyday's burden.
