Sinopsis: Había amado a Rule Archer desde el primer momento que puse los ojos en él. Él era todo lo que no debería desear y la única persona por la que salí de mi camino de no tratar de complacer. Él sólo me veía como una mocosa, y titulada con sobresaliente, princesa, pero lo peor de todo lo que veía cuando me miraba a mí era que veía a la chica de su gemelo fallecido. Eso rompía mí corazón porque por mucho que me había gustado Remy Archer nunca hubo nada romántico entre nosotros y no importa cuánto intentara convencerme a mí misma de que amar a Rule era una idea terrible, mi pobre corazón no escuchaba. Nos hemos tolerado el uno al otro, y apenas habíamos forjado una incómoda alianza hasta que una noche tuve demasiado para beber y cambió la forma en que fuimos siempre. Shaw Landon era una clase de actuación y yo no tenía idea de qué hacer con ella. Estaba atada a mi familia, vinculada a la persona que era mi otra mitad, así que las toleré a ella y a su arrogante actitud mientras no tenía ninguna otra opción. Lo que no sabía era que una falda corta y también muchos cócteles en su cumpleaños iban a cambiar mi perspectiva de ella para el resto de mi vida. Algunas personas pensaban que me escondía detrás de todos mis tatuajes y piercings, que trataba de alejarme de mi gemelo muerto, Shaw vio en medio de todo y no estaba asustada de lo que había debajo. Nosotros no se suponía que fuéramos a estar juntos, no se suponía que fuéramos cualquier cosa sino incómodos conocidos pero todo cambió en un abrir y cerrar de ojos. Ahora tenía que averiguar cómo una chica como ella y un tipo como yo se supone que están enamorados sin destruirse el uno al otro. Añade a su ex por encargo y dos desaprobadoras parejas de padres y toda la situación sonaba como si fueran más problemas de lo que valía la pena.

MI PERSONAJE FAVORITO: Rule Archer, sin ninguna duda. Los chicos malos tienen algo que me atraen, además de que en el fondo no es tan malo como quiere hacer ver. Toda su historia con su familia, Shaw y sus amigos te hacen ver que es muy protector con las personas que le importan. Es perfecto en su manera de chico duro, y verlo evolucionar a lo largo del libro hace que te guste aún más.

Opinión: Este libro lo encontré por casualidad en Goodreads y desde que leí la sinopsis quise leerlo.

El libro está narrado desde el punto de vista de Shaw y Rule, los protagonistas de la historia. Shaw es una estudiante de medicina de la Universidad de Denver y Rule es el sexy chico del que ha estado enamorada desde los 13 años.

Cuando comencé a leer el libro me enganchó desde el primer momento, la historia de Remy, Shaw y Rule te deja enganchada al libro. Además de que imaginarse a Rule con toda su actitud de chico malo, sus tatuajes y sus "relaciones" te deja sin respiración.

La autora ha sabido crear unos personajes increíbles, que evolucionan a lo largo del libro, además de que conoces a los personajes de las próximas secuelas (las cuales no puedo esperar a leer, sobre todo si vuelve a salir Rule en ellas :3 )

El único fallo del libro es que de momento sólo está en versión eBook porque la autora se lo ha auto publicado, pero para ser su primer libro, ha conseguido crear una historia mucho mejor que algunas de las autoras que tienen bestsellers.

Espero que os animéis a leerlo y de momento aunque no hay traducción oficial, el equipo de Bookzinga lo ha traducido al español en su foro, AQUÍ,

It broke my heart because as much as I had loved Remy Archer there was never anything romantic between us and no matter how hard I tried to convince myself that loving Rule was a terrible idea, my poor heart just wouldn't listen. We tolerated each other, barely and had forged an uneasy alliance until one night I had too much to drink and changed the way we were forever. Suddenly life long secrets were no longer hidden and the one thing I always wanted for myself seemed obtainable as long as I was willing to go through hell to hold onto it.

Shaw Landon was a class act and I had no idea what to do with her. She was tied to my family, tied to the person that was my other half so I tolerated her and her haughty attitude when I didn't have any other choice. What I didn't know was that a short skirt and too many cocktails on her birthday was going to change my outlook on her for the rest of my life. Some people thought I hid behind all my tattoos and piercings, that I tried to distance myself from my dead twin, Shaw saw through it all and wasn't scared of what was underneath. We weren't supposed to be together, weren't supposed to be anything but uncomfortable acquaintances but that all changed in the blink of an eye. Now I had to figure out just how a girl like her and a guy like me were supposed to be in love without destroying each other. Add in her custom made ex and two disapproving sets of parents and the whole situation sounded like it was more trouble then it was worth.

Recommended for mature readers due to sexual content, language and drinking

MY FAVOURITE CHARACTER: Rule Archer, no doubt. The bad guys have something that attract me, and he in the end is not as bad as he wants to seem. His whole story with his family, Shaw and his friends make you know that he is very protective with the people who matter. He is perfect in his way of tough guy, and seen him evolve throughout the book makes you like him even more.

Opinion: I found this book by chance on Goodreads and since I read the synopsis I wanted to read it.

The book is narrated from the point of view of Shaw and Rule, the protagonists of the story. Shaw is a medical student at the University of Denver and Rule is the sexy guy, that Shaw has been in love since she ´s 13.

When I started reading the book I was hooked from the first moment, the story of Remy, Shaw and Rule leaves you hooked to the pages. Besides imagining Rule with all his bad-boy attitude, tattoos and his "relationships" leaves you breathless.

The author has managed to create some amazing characters that evolve throughout the book, plus you get to know the characters in the upcoming sequels (which I cannot wait to read, especially if Rule is back out in them:3)

The only flaw of the book is that it is currently only in eBook version because the author has self-published it, but for being her first book, she has managed to create a story much better than some of the authors who have bestsellers.

I hope you feel encouraged to read, and although there is no official translation, the  Bookzinga team has translated it into Spanish in their forum, so I encourage you to read it!
