We are back!

Hello everyone, we are back! Did you miss us? We did! There are going to be some changes on the blog during this month.

Firstly, Juliet has gone to England for the next 9 months (Oh God! I´m gonna miss her sooo much) So she´ll be posting from Portsmouth and the blog is going to be a mess for a couple of days or weeks till she´d be able to post again. Meanwhile, I´m going to be doing some changes on the blog.
As you can appreciate I´m writing in English first because we´ve realized that the majority of our readers are English speaker. So we´ve decided to post first in English and then in Spanish.

Secondly, since I´m starting to get some attention from other aurhors and blogs I´ve decided to use  my real name, Azahara, and leave Ayla to Jondalar xD  from now on I´ll be posting as Azahara though my previous posts will remain as Ayla.

Thirdly, this summer I´ve been doing some blog research and discovered the Blog Tours. I tried one in August for Jay McLean´s novel More Than This, and I loved it. We´re going to add a new blog spot for future blog tours. This month we´re having a covert reveal and tour stop for the Indie-Credible Authors Event with Jen Wylie that I´m sure you´re going to love. And  having blog tours means GIVEAWAYS! I love giveaways, and having some in the blog will be a dream come true.

Lastly, I think we are going to change a bit the blog background and style and give it a more personal touch.

¡Hola a todos, ya estamos de vuelta! ¿Nos habéis echado de menos? ¡Nosotras sí! Durante este mes va a ver algunos cambios en el blog.

Para empezar, Juliet se ha ido a Inglaterra a estudiar durante los próximos 9 meses (¡Dios! Cuanto la voy a echar de menos) Así que va a estar publicando desde Portsmouth y el blog va a estar un poco caótico un par de días o semanas hasta que se organice y pueda publicar otra vez. Mientras tanto, yo iré haciendo algunos cambios en el blog. Como podéis ver, hemos cambiado la distribución de las publicaciones. A partir de ahora escribiremos primero en inglés y después en español porque tenemos más seguidores que hablan inglés que español.

Segundo, desde que me muevo en este mundo de la blogoesfera, he contactado con otros blogeros y escritores, he decidido usar mi verdadero nombre, Azahara, y dejarle Ayla a Jondalar xD

Tercero, este verano he estado investigando algunos blogs y he descubierto los Bolg Tours. Probé uno en agosto para la novela More Than This de Jay McLean y me encantó. Por eso vamos a añadir una nueva categoría al blog para los futuros Blog Tours. Este mes tenemos la revelación de la portado de un libro y el tour stop para Indie-Credible Authors Event con jen Wylie y estoy segura de que os encantará. Tener blog tours significa ¡REGALOS!

Por último, creo que cambiaremos el diseño y la estructura del blog para darle un toque más personal. Esto es todo, gracias por vuestra paciencia y nos vemos en la próxima publicación ;)

If I Stay Film

La novela Si decido quedarme de Gayle Forman va a ser llevada a la pantalla grande. El rodaje comenzará a finales de Octubre en Vancouver, será dirigida por R.J.Cutler y producida por MGM. Por el momento solamente el papel de Mia ha sido adjudicado a la actriz Chloe Moretz.

Estaré pendiente de más noticias porque necesito saber quién hará de Adam. Estas son unas noticias maravillosas ya que el libro me encantó =)

There is going to be a movie based on Forman´s book If I Stay. The filming will begin in late October in Vancouver, it will be directed by R.J.Cutler and produced by MGM. At the moment the main cast is still pending with the exception of Mia who will be played by Chloe Moretz.

I´ll be waiting for more news because I need to know who will be Adam. These are really exciting news because I loved If I Stay =)

Once Upon A Time in Wonderland

OUAT in Wonderland se estrenará en Estados Unidos el 10 de Octubre, aquí en España tendremos que esperar bastante más. Además de los 3 personajes principales Alice (Sophie Lowe), La Sota de corazones (Michael Socha) y Cyrus (Peter Gadiot), se incorporan 2 nuevos personajes:

Emma Rigby como la Reina Roja, no confundirla con Cora la Reina de Corazones en Erase Una Vez. Neveen Andrews como Jafar el malvado de la película Aladdin.
Estas son unas noticias fantásticas y ¡no puedo esperar para ver la serie!

OUAT in Wonderland premiering is October 10th in U.S.A, here in Spain we´ll have to wait for a long time.
Apart from the 3 main characters we told you about in April, Alice (Sophie Lowe), Knave of Hearts (Michael Socha) and Cyrus (Peter Gadiot, there are two new incorporations to the show:

Emma Rigby as the Red Queen do not mistake it with Cora the Queen of Hearts in OUAT. And Naveen Andrews as Jafar the villain from Aladdin!
These are very exciting news and I cannot wait to watch OUAT in Wonderland!

Apadrinadas =)

Hace un mes nos apuntamos a la iniciativa del blog  Leyendo Entre Letras como ahijadas esperando que algún blog nos apadrinara, y tan sólo un mes después podemos decir que ¡ya tenemos madrinas! =D

Estamos súper contentas con nuestras madrinas del blog The Itzel Library. Es un blog fantástico y con mucha historia, han estado en activo desde 2010 y ahora está administrado por Elii Vela. Tienen una gran variedad de secciones como reseñas, entrevistas y un montón de sorteos, así que os ánimo a todos a que lo visitéis =)






También queríamos hacer una mención especial a MaryLin del blog Los Libros de la Bruja que también solicitó ser nuestra madrina pero tuvimos que declinar porque no podemos tener 2 madrinas =(,  pero sigue pasándose y comentando nuestro blog, así que os recomiendo que paséis por su blog, ¡os gustará!



A month ago we signed up to the initiative of the blog Leyendo Entre Letras as godchildren  hoping that some blogwill sponsor us, and just a month later we can say that we have godmothers! = D

We are super happy with our blog godmothers, The Itzel Library. It's a wonderful blog with lots of history, it has been active since 2010 and  now is managed by Elii Vela. They have a variety of sections such as reviews, interviews and lots of giveaways, so I encourage everyone to visit them  =)

Once Upon a Time in Wonderland

Aquí os traigo el trailer de la próxima serie de ABC Network que tiene lugar en Wonderland y es de los creadores de Once Upon A Time. Como ya os comenté hace un par de meses en un principio va a ser una mini serie entorno a los 17 capítulos, pero cabe la posibilidad de que si tiene tanta aceptación como OUAT continúen las temporadas. Su estreno será este otoño en Estados Unidos, aquí en España nos tocará esperar.

Here is the first trailer of ABC Network, from the creators of Once Upon A Time, and it takes place in Wonderland. As I already commented a couple months ago, OAUT in Wonderland will be a mini series of around 17 episodes, but if it has the same success as OUAT it could be extended. It will be aired this fall on Thursday.

La idea de este club surgió de Silvia y Cotito de los blogs Detrás del libro y Leyendo entre Letras, respectivamente. Apadrina un blog consiste en que los blogs que tengan más de 100 seguidores apadrinen 1 o 2 blogs que tengan de 0-99 seguidores. Si en el transcurso en el que te apadrinan pasas a tener más de 100 seguidores pasas a ser un padrino.
Realmente me parece una idea estupenda para que se conozcan más blogs, de momento estoy apuntada y esperaré a ver si alguien quiere apadrinarnos.

San Jorge / St. George's Day

  Hoy hemos celebrado el día de San Jorge y el día del libro en nuestra cuidad. Así que como tal, hemos pasado el día entre libros, mirando puestos y tiendas... Aquí dejamos algunas fotos, pero como veis básicamente este día se resume en mucha gente, libros, paseos, flores... Así que otro año más hemos acabado con varios libros, varios claveles y... ¡helado! (esto en realidad es ya tradición entre nosotras :D)

  Today we celebrated St. George's Day and 'the day of the book' in our town. So we spent the day among books, browsing through the stands and stores... We share here some pictures but as you can see this day consists mainly of crowds, books, strolls, flowers... So for another year we have ended up with several books, several flowers and.. ice-cream! (this is actually a little tradition of our own :D)

Entrevista con Juliet

¡Ya llevamos 2 meses con el blog! y para celebrar que todavía seguimos por aquí, a pesar de que el mes de junio y sus temibles exámenes finales cada vez están más cerca, os dejo una mini entrevista que le hice a Juliet antes de las vacaciones. ¿Y para qué? os preguntareis, pues porque me pareció que no aportábamos un toque lo suficientemente personal al blog, así que aquí os dejo la entrevista =)

¿Cuál es tu libro favorito?

Peter Pan, por todo lo que representa y el retrato de Dorian Gray porque es una fuente de inspiración continua,

¿Cuál fue el libro que marcó un punto de inflexión positivo o negativo en tu vida? ¿Por qué?

Antonio Machado, porque siempre he estado muy rodeada de él pero cuando de verdad leí sus poemas (que era bastante pequeña) me di cuenta de que las palabras pueden decir mucho y tener muchos significados.

¿Qué tipo de libros sueles leer?

Siempre estoy entre clásicos y juvenil.

¿Tienes alguna relación de amor odio con algún autor o libro?

Suzanne Collins, coger la trilogía de Los Juegos del Hambre y pasar de sumergirte en un libro tantísimo como en el primero,  a leerte el ultimo por obligación..

¿Tienes alguna manía a la hora de leer?

No es una manía pero por algún motivo me ilusiona un libro si no es nuevo, si lo han leído otras personas...

Subrayar mucho, cualquier frase que por contenido o forma me llame.

Si sólo te dejaran leer 1 libro para el resto de tu vida ¿Cuál sería?

Alguno muuuuuuuuuy gordo de poesía, porque tendría cientos de poemas distintos a los que sacar todos los significados que quisiera e igual me parecían más libros xD

Si pudieras convertir a 1 de los personajes de ficción de los libros en real ¿a quién elegirías?

Difícil, pero me quedo con Peter para que me lleve al País de Nunca Jamás.

¿Qué libro recomendarías leer a nuestros "lectores"?

Pues uno que considero bastante imprescindible es Alicia en el País de las Maravillas, si puede ser en inglés, se han hecho demasiadas cosas sobre él, versiones y tal pero el original hay que leerlo.

We have been two months with the blog! and to celebrate that we are still here, even though June and its dreaded final exams are becoming increasingly close, I´m posting a mini interview I did to Juliet just before the holidays. And for what? you may ask, well because I thought the blog was impersonal so here is the interview =)

Which is your favorite book?

Peter Pan, for what it represents, and The Portrait of Dorian Gray because it is a continuous source of inspiration.

What was the author that marked a turning point, positive or negative in your life? Why?

Antonio Machado, because I've always been so surrounded by him but when you actually read his poems (when I was really young) I realized that words can say a lot and have many meanings.

What kind of books do you usually read?

I'm always between the classics and teens & young adult.

Do you have any love-hate relationship with an author or a book?

Suzanne Collins, catching the trilogy The Hunger Games and spending hours inmerse into the  first book, to read the last one by obligation ...

Do you have any mania when reading?

It's not a mania, but somehow excites me a book that´s not new, if  other people have read it...

I underline a lot, any phrase that´s is catching because its content or  its form.

If you could only read one book  for the rest of your life. What would it be?

A very big book of poetry, because it would have hundreds of poems, and trying to give them different meanings would just seem like more books xD

If you could make one of the fictional characters of a books to became a real person, who would you choose?

Difficult, but I'll chose Peter to take me to Neverland.

What book would you recommend reading our "readers"?

 I believe Alice in Wonderland is quite essential, there are a lot of versions and they have made a lot of stuff about it, but if you could, read the original.
