The book that I am waiting is :

Title: Fragments (Partials #2)

Author: Dan Wells

Editorial: Blazer+ Bray

Release date in U.S.A: February 26th 2013

Synopsis: Kira Walker has found the cure for RM, but the battle for the survival of humans and Partials is just beginning. Kira has left East Meadow in a desperate search for clues to who she is. That the Partials themselves hold the cure for RM in their blood cannot be a coincidence--it must be part of a larger plan, a plan that involves Kira, a plan that could save both races. Her companions are Afa Demoux, an unhinged drifter and former employee of ParaGen, and Samm and Heron, the Partials who betrayed her and saved her life, the only ones who know her secret. But can she trust them?

Meanwhile, back on Long Island, what's left of humanity is gearing up for war with the Partials, and Marcus knows his only hope is to delay them until Kira returns. But Kira's journey will take her deep into the overgrown wasteland of post apocalyptic America, and Kira and Marcus both will discover that their greatest enemy may be one they didn't even know existed.

The second installment in the pulse-pounding Partials saga is the story of the eleventh hour of humanity's time on Earth, a journey deep into places unknown to discover the means--and even more important, a reason--for our survival

Reseña: Where She Went (If I Stay #2)

Título: Lo que fue de ella #2
Autor: Gayle Forman
Editorial: Salamandra

"No me compartes, te pertenezco"

Title: Where She Went #2
Author: Gayle Forman
Editorial: Dutton Juvenile
Synopsis: It's been three years since the devastating accident . . . three years since Mia walked out of Adam's life forever.

Now living on opposite coasts, Mia is Julliard's rising star and Adam is LA tabloid fodder, thanks to his new rock star status and celebrity girlfriend. When Adam gets stuck in New York by himself, chance brings the couple together again, for one last night. As they explore the city that has become Mia's home, Adam and Mia revisit the past and open their hearts to the future-and each other.

Told from Adam's point of view in the spare, lyrical prose that defined If I Stay, Where She Went explores the devastation of grief, the promise of new hope, and the flame of rekindled romance.

Opinion: Where She Went is narrated by Adam´s point of view, which I loved because it allowed us to see how he was their separation after Mia´s accident and to see his life as a rock star. The narrative tone is full of anger and depression because he does not like his life, he has failed to move on after Mia´s accident.
I liked this book more than If I Stay because I loved Adam from the very beginning and I wanted to discover what happened next. Throughout the whole book I was glued to the book wanting to know how it would end because sometimes it seemed that everything was going well and others that everything was going to end badly. The narrative style alternates the present time with Adam´s memories, as the author did in the first book.
Music is still vital in Where She Went, now we see the succeed of Adam´s rock band, The Shooting Stars and also Mia´s successful career as a classical soloist.

MY FAVOURITE CHARACTER: Undoubtedly is Adam.  He is perfect but he is not this kind of characters that  seem impossible to be real.  Adam is perfect because he could be any guy (except that he is a rock star), he is such a close character that sometimes you forget he is just a book character. And his feeling for Mia and his vulnerability stole my heart.

“You don’t share me. You own me.”

Bad Boys Monday: Christian Grey

Christian Grey, who has not heard of him?
In a list of the most sexy and dangerous men, he would surely be in the top 3. Rich, young, seductive, handsome and with some peculiar sexual tastes; he is tall, hot, with piercing grey eyes and dark haired. He is the ideal man for some women (except for his love for BDSM), he would be perfect. His name has been heard so much during this last 2 years that he seems to be a real person instead of what he really is, the main character of the best seller 50 Shades of Grey.

Grey is a complex and unreal character, actually if someone would have all of his problem he should be in a mental institution. The character has been so successful because, as it is known, women tend to be attracted by bad boys and if at the end he ends up falling in love with the girl, well he have the complete package.
Each women have imagined her own Christian Grey, that the good thing about the book characters. But now that a movie adaptation will be done, we will can put him a face. Meanwhile here are some of the actors that are taking the polls around Internet.

Matt Bomer, I´ll admit, he is my favourite. Here are some picks that show how good he will be as Christian Grey, you just have to see him in a suit...or without it, either way, he is perfect for the character,(plus I would love to see him performing some of the book scenes :3 ) Bomer´s name is the one that seems to top the lists in the Internet´s polls. But there are many people that are against him to be Grey because he is gay. To all those people, you just have to see him performing in White Collar or Magic Mike, he is a really good actor and, he has already shown that he can play perfectly heterosexual roles.

Ryan Gosling, is the one that sound loudest among the critics for his role in the movie Crazy, Stupid Love because he nailed his role of a seductive man, plus he is really hot, I must admit it. However, I am not convinced because his eyes do not convey Grey´s lust, Gosling´s eyes are too tender, from my point of view.

Ian Somerhalder, protagonist of The Vampire Diaries, is the least likely among the public because he is typecast in the role of vampire. In his favor he has his incredible physical appearance and his amazing blue eyes.
Regardless of whom they choose, Christian Grey is definitely and honorary member of Bad Boys Monday.

Reseña: If I Stay

Título: Si decido quedarme #1
Autor: Gayle Forman
Editorial: Salamandra

Title: If I Stay #1
Author: Gayle Forman
Editorial: Dutton Juvenile
Synopsis: In a single moment, everything changes. Seventeen-year-old Mia has no memory of the accident; she can only recall riding along the snow-wet Oregon road with her family. Then, in a blink, she finds herself watching as her own damaged body is taken from the wreck...
A sophisticated, layered, and heart-achingly beautiful story about the power of family and friends, the choices we all make, and the ultimate choice Mia commands.

Opinion: If I Stay is a story that goes straight to the heart. Through Mia, the first person narrator, we observe by first hand all the decisions and actions that she has to take in this decisive moment of her life. Through her memories we get to know how was her life before the accident, her family, her boyfriend and her music passion.  I highly recommend this book for all the music lovers, either rock or classical....Music is what first joined Adam and Mia, is also the core of her family and a key element in her life.
Mia´s story is an example of how hard life is, of its injustices and twist of fate. It has the perfect ingredients to bring readers to tears (I include myself here) and leave them with the intrigue of what will happen.
I highly recommend If I Stay, it is not the typical story with a predictable end. It will keep you stuck to its pages till the end, and after it you will still think of it, that´s what good books do =)

MY FAVOURITE CHARACTER: Teddy is Mia´s little brother, he is a very advanced and hustler child for his age. I love the character because he is just adorable and from the very beginning he brings a smile to the reader.

“If you stay, I'll do whatever you want. I'll quit the band, go with you to New York. But if you need me to go away, I'll do that, too. I was talking to Liz and she said maybe coming back to your old life would be too painful, that maybe it'd be easier for you to erase us. And that would suck, but I'd do it. I can lose you like that if I don't lose you today. I'll let you go. If you stay.”

Blind Date with a Book is an idea that Juliet had in her mind for several weeks, and I decided to join it because there were a lot of bookshops in the U.K that were carrying out this same idea ( besides I love sharing my books with everybody)

This new section of the blog will be a monthly event that will take place each 14th of every month. And St Valentine is the perfect day to get started. Blind Date with a Book is about lending a book to a friend, a relative without saying anything about it, just give to someone  that you think that will enjoy it.

This month parcipate Juliet, Adarea ( a class mate that share our love for reading) and I ,but I hope that in the next months more people will join us =)
The books that I lend are:

Vampire Academy by Richelle Mead ( Adarea)

Untamed by Elizabeth Lowell ( Juliet)

The book that came home with me is:
The Five People You Meet in Heaven by Mitch Albom

For the moment I will just put the covers and when they will read the books I will attach a note with their personal opinion about the book, if they dare.
