My Review:

I really like Missy Johnson's books so I was really excited to read this new story written by her :) When I first read the synopsis for this book I was quite intrigued and I have to say I definitely wasn't disappointed though I was surprised by few unexpected turns in the story. Both characters were really interesting and I enjoyed getting to know them though I would of loved it if the story was longer and I was given the chance to spend some more time with Conrad and Raven :)

Raven is a little bit closed off and kind of scared of the outside world but considering what she went through during the last two years of her life, that's quite understandable. I really loved seeing her open up and flourish under Conrad's attention and protection. I enjoyed seeing her tap into her inner desires, things even she herself didn't know she craved. In Conrad she definitely found her other half :)

Conrad was also quite an interesting character. I loved getting to know him and I so crave another dose of him. It was definitely interesting to see his tender side in the way he was taking care of Raven, his protectiveness when she needs it the most, and let's not forget his prowess in the bed department (and not only ;) ). 

As I whole, I think the story is quite interesting and I definitely recommend it if you are looking for a short read :) I have to say that I did have an idea that everything will turn out as it did but there was still the element of surprise to some extent. I just wish the story was longer. I would of loved to know a little bit more about Conrad's background and what drove him to the decisions he made and it would've been great to read about Raven and Conrad's relationship in more depth :) They were definitely quite interesting characters :)

My Review:

Damn!!! That was one sizzling hot, short read. It kept me on my toes through out the whole story and I simply couldn't stop reading until I read the last word. And now I am just craving more. So much more...

The story is quite intriguing and interesting. It is definitely hot but it also has a pinch of suspense. Just enough of each to make your panties melt and at the same time keep you glued to your kindle, craving to find more about the characters.

Charlotte looks like the typical good girl. Not very experienced in sex and craving something darker, kinkier than the vanilla relationship she had with her previous boyfriend. The boyfriend who cheated on her with the neighbor and made her doubt herself. Enter Jaxon Murphy. He is pantie melting hot, dominant alpha bad boy who doesn't believe in relationships or putting the effort to seduce a woman. That's why he simply hires them to do whatever he wants from them. He is also an enigma. Hiding so many secrets in his past, he is the ultimate challenge, the one thing that could land Charlotte her dream job. He is only supposed to be a means to an end, but all that changes once Charlotte meets Jaxon and the chemistry between them starts to sizzle :)

I loved the characters and the way the story is written. The sexual chemistry between Charlotte and Jaxon is so strong that I needed to cool down after finishing this first part of the series. But I think what I loved more was finding something new about Jaxon on pretty much every page. I loved his different faces:  the ruthless CEO  who shows up when somebody tries to threaten him, the alpha male who likes to dominate his subs, the man who shows tenderness to one of his women when it is at least expected. He has so many facets that I simply can't wait to find more about him; to discover each one of his secrets during the following parts of the series; to find out what made him the man he is. And it will be definitely fun to see what will happen between him and Charlotte :)

In a few words, this is a great short story that I can guarantee you won't regret reading. It will simply suck you in and leave you craving more. I can't wait for the next two weeks to pass so I can get my hands on part two- Ravage.

My Review:

I really liked the beginning, it was very sweet and I was eager to read where it was heading. The book has a dual point of view. I usually don´t mind reading about teacher/student, but it was kind of unbelievable having such a young teacher in a girl boarding school.

I liked Wren till she started being a selfish child, she has a lot of potential but I really didn´t understand why they couldn´t wait to be together, if you tell me they had to wait a year... ok, but it was just around 8 weeks, I mean you are just out of college and you want to throw everyhing out for a chick you just met? Not my style at all. Dalton´s possible illness brings something very interesting into the story, I have to say I even cry in some parts.

Through the whole book I was expecting to read the moment when they realize they have already met each other, but I was completely let down. I mean I was expecting that scene since the beginning and it was simple and it didn´t bring the feelings I was expecting.

I enjoyed reading it, I liked reading the alternating point of view of the characters but I think that the fact that such a wonderful beginning and end of story were possible but at the same time the whole development of the story was just OK, didn´t made up for the flatness of what was in the middle, because the whole time I was expecting something more, more feelings, more drama.
