Lani Lynn Vale is fast becoming one of my very favorite authors and a #1click addiction. And the Bear Bottom MC Series is one of my sinful addictions :D So yes, getting my hands on My Bad was like a dream come true. And I can honestly say that this is probably one of my favorite books in the series so far. Hoax and Pru's story is intriguing and sexy, suspenseful and funny. Or in a few words, it is an addicting and sinful page-turner that will keep you glued to your seat until the very last word.
I wanted to read Hoax's story from the moment I finished Linc and Conleigh's story in Talkin' Trash. And Pru has been on my mind since that very same book as well. There was a scene in it between Pru and Hoax from which it was obvious that the sparks will fly between those two. And I was definitely not wrong. Though Pru is completely against dating military man and even more one of her patients, she simply can't resist the pull Hoax has on her. And Hoax is pretty much in the same boat.
The chemistry between Pru and Hoax is scorching and their clever banter and bickering just heats up things even more. But none of them is looking for a HEA until faith decides that it has other plans. That doesn't mean that their relationship is easy. Each one of them has to face their fears and demons and decide whether what they have together is worth fighting for. Of course danger is never far behind and the suspense just makes their relationship even harder.
In a few words, this is an intriguing read filled with fun scenes and scorching chemistry, sexy times and suspenseful situations, heartbreak and romance in a way that only Lani Lynn Vale can write. So definitely a must read in my opinion. And though it is a standalone, I think you would enjoy it more if you read the first three books in the series.

I've only discovered Lani Lynn Vale's books few months ago but she is fastly becoming one of my all time favorite authors and a #1click addiction. So it is not a surprise that I was super excited to get my hands on How About No. I am simply in love with the Bear Bottom MC characters and from the very start I wanted to know what was Landry and Wade's story. Well, I can tell you that it was definitely not what I expected. But it was still so good. It is simply a heartbreaking story about second chances and fighting for the one you love with a side of hotness and sprinkle of danger.
As I already mentioned, Wade and Landry's story was definitely not what I expected. In a way, it was so much better. To be honest I was nearly in tears from the moment I started reading the prologue. It was just so emotional and heartbreaking. And it just got better after that. There were times when I was getting really frustrated with Landry but once I actually found out more about her past, I started understanding her better. As for Wade, he is a huge hottie. In addition to that he is a understanding, protective, and even tender when his woman needs it. But he can be also very dirty in the most delicious way there is :D
Of course, as it is to be expected by Lani Lynn Vale, there are unexpected twists and a suspenseful element that will keep you at the edge of your seats every time you are not drooling after Wade :D The cameo appearances from the other Bear Bottom MC characters and their other halves just made the book even better in my opinion. I so can't wait to read Hoax and Pru's story. And let's not forget Bayou :D
In a few words, this is definitely a must read in my opinion. Especially if you are a lover of MC stories or a Lani Lynn Vale fan. And even if you are none of the above, I still think you would enjoy the story immensely. So don't waste any time and pick up your copy now :)

This was my very first Lani Lynn Vale book and I am so glad a friend recommended it to me. This was a heartbreaking story of loss and finding the will to live again when you've lost everything that mattered to you. It's about healing and finding love again. About finding the one person that is your other half and can pick you up and show you the way when you don't see the light at the end of the tunnel.
I can honestly say that I cried my heart out before I even reached the middle of the book. Having to live through what Rome experiences in this book is so heartbreaking that I don't think there is a person who would be left unaffected. But the story is not only about that heartbreak. It's about finding your way when your world falls apart around you.
Ultimately, Isadora and Rome are two great characters. I admire Isadora and her strength. Because surviving the nightmare she lived through as a child, teenager and an young adult is something to be admired for. It not only shows the strength of her character but also her determination to survive, to find her place in the world and her HEA. Rome on the other hand, might be physically strong and had pretty much a great life until one wrong decision throws everything upside down. And unfortunately, faith throws even more heartbreak his way. And no matter how much he fights, the heartbreak just becomes too much and pulls him in. And in a way, exactly what Rome and Isadora lived through, makes them perfect for each other. And though, their HEA doesn't come easy, it is beautiful and inspiring.
And just to make things better, there is a little bit of danger and suspense lurking around the corner that definitely fulfilled my need for it :)
So, if you are looking for a great emotional story, don't waste any more time looking and pick Mess Me Up. It is definitely a book you don't want to miss.
