Aaaand Emma Chase, once again, delivers a completely amazing story that will keep you glued to the book until the end!

First of all, I have to say that I’m a sucker for everything royal, and I couldn’t wait to read this book about the first Queen of Wessco. And I'm happy to say it was absolutely great <3

I loved that this book showed how Lenora grew up from a 8 year old princess to be the first Queen of her Country, and what queen! She had many difficulties to deal with, obstacles to overcome, but with the right people supporting her, it was a pleasure to see how she managed to become a good and strong ruler for her country. And how her story with Edward developed slowly but steadily…. ahhhh, my heart, it was too much for my heart! The witty banter, the energy, and then the deep respect they had for each other. Real power couple goals. I don’t want to spoiler anything, but I fell in love with the relationship between Thomas and Lenora too. Such a special friendship, true friendship, and I couldn’t help but shed a few tears at one point... 

- Edward was the most perfect Prince of Wessco there could’ve ever been. His initial struggle to fit in his role, his progressive understanding of Lenora and her personality... Page by page I started to really admire him, and I can say he became a real safe harbour for Lenora, a person she could always count on. It mustn’t be easy to be the consort of such a strong woman, with such an important role, but again, the respect and love they had for each other made everything possible.

There were also many interesting secondary characters in this book, from her sister Miriam, to the trusted counsellor Alfie. They all made the book even more full and rich!

So yeah, definitely read this book, a perfect dreamy love story and a glimpse on how real royal life can be!
