I watched her undo the belt at her side and shrug her shoulders, the dress falling to the floor. She slowly turned. She wore black lace panties and a matching bra. I strode towards her, taking her face in one hand, turning it to the side, giving me access to her neck.
I heard her breath quicken. I felt her hands on my chest, loosening my tie. I pulled her bra down, releasing a breast and sucked on her nipple while she fumbled with the zipper on my pants.
"You are one mean bastard," she said.
"So I've been told, many times," I whispered as my teeth bit down hard on her earlobe.

Travis left and I headed for the shower. I closed my eyes and let the water run over my face, tilting it towards the shower head. I tried to conjure up some feeling towards what we had done, but nothing came. Was I so heartless that I couldn't feel even the slightest remorse? Even killing a man for justifiable reasons deserved some feeling. There was no doubt Padriac was a threat to me and my family and that threat had to be dealt with. I enjoyed reading the rest of the Fallen Angel books a lot and I was really anxious to read Robert’s story. I always thought of him as the ultimate bad boy but knowing his background definitely added more layers to his character.
The story is one of the most heartbreaking books I’ve read recently. Portraying the story of boy who cannot trust anyone and can depend only on himself, the book brought tears to my eyes more than once. Every single word pulled me even deeper into Robert’s early years and I couldn’t stop reading. It was simply a captivating read.
Orphaned at a young age, Robert is mentally and physically abused by those he is supposed to depend on the most. He finds love and understanding in his only friend until she is violently taken away from his life. He experiences grief, loss and love but he also learns that he has to fight for everything he wants in life and to protect those dear to him. After everything he goes through, it is difficult for him to trust but once you gain his trust, you stay there forever. And he will do whatever it takes to protect you.
His loyalty is tested more than once but he is always ready to stand by his friends and loved ones. He had to fight for everything he has and for all his accomplishments but that’s what made him the man he is.
I thoroughly enjoyed reading this story. If you are a fan of The Fallen Angel Series you definitely need to read Robert. Just be warned. It is a though book to read with all the heartbreak and I can guarantee that it will make you cry more than once. But I can also guarantee that you will never regret reading it. I cannot wait to see what else Tracie Podger will serve us next :)
