Synopsis: "Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness, that most frightens us." - Marianne Williamson We live in a world of darkness and shadows, where monsters hide and aim to ruin. And they did. They ruined us and turned our dreams into nightmares. But now we're back. And we're fighting. Not just for us, or for each other, but for our light.
Review:
I was really afraid to start reading More Than Him because in More
Than Her both Logan and Amanda did things I was completely against, like
cheating and leaving without fighting. I knew Jay had hard times ahead in order
to make me like this book. The story itself
left my mind in a turbulent state, I finished the book just before I went to
sleep and I dreamt about it the whole night. From my point of view the author
created a controversial story but it surely left an imprint not good not bad,
just confusing.
As you can already imagine with my hectic beginning that I
still don´t know what to think about More Than Him so I am going to separate the
thinks I liked from the things I didn´t.
-
I liked:
-Very reliable characters, they
have faults and problems like anyone else.
-The dialogues are very
believable, I even felt myself identified some times.
-I loved that we still get to know
about previous characters from the other books like Mikayla and Jake and also
that we start to get hints to the future books. I love reading about Cam and
Lucy, I so cannot wait till More Than Forever. And I don’t even want to mention
the last scene on the book, hello cliffhanger! I need More Than Forever right
now!!
-In More Than Her I had a lot of
issues with the excessive use of cursing by the characters and luckily in More
Than Him this improved a lot.
-I love Jay´s writing style and
with the passing of books she has improved it. Fast paced narrative, easy to
read, you get into the characters mind without difficulty and the time reading
the book goes by easily.
-The huge amount of hot guys that
flood her books. The More series give me enough hotties to read in just one
book that I swoon over every page.
I didn’t liked:
- Logan leaving Amanda.
-There is so much drama and
crying, it kind of make me feel depressed while reading the book.
-I do believe in second chances
but not in third or fourth, I was kind of against Logan.
-I also didn’t like Amanda because
of the cheating issue with Tyson, I can’t stand cheaters.
Have you realized that my main
issues are against the main characters? And you may think how I liked a book so
much without liking the characters? Well, that´s because Jay McLean creates
wonderful stories in a way that you CANNOT like them, seriously. They are worth
reading so go and grab your copy and enjoy!
Now tell me, are you team Jake or
team Logan. Vote! ( by the way, I am team Jake! <3)
